Maps

I saw where they released the new park maps with updated times of shows. This made me think of how much having wadded up maps in the bottom of my bag and stroller annoyed me on the last trip. I had planned on printing the maps and laminating so we could resolve this issue. Only issue is the maps are legal size and really you can't shrink them b/c if you did it would be impossible to read. So, what do you do about maps? Any good ideas out there?

we don't need to use the maps!;)
But, I would suggest just grabbing 1 or 2 to take back to the resort at the end of the day and just packing it safely into your baggage. Actually, don't most resorts have maps before you get to the park? If so, you can pick up a map @ the front desk. No crumples mess.;)

I never use a map. I'd feel weird using one. And I wouldn't dare be labeled as a newbie! ;) In all seriousness, I grab an English and French map for each park as we leave. I like to keep them as souvenirs. They make nice decorative pieces.

To answer your question since I kind of got side tracked up there, I'd keep it folded up in a pocket or in a side pouch of your bag. Sorry for not giving you much helped, it's been a while since I've needed to use a map for anything besides fanning myself off! :p

We need time for things to happen.
Maps? We don't need no stinkin' maps!

We pick a wad of them up every year as a souvenirs and I'll occasionally (risk looking like a complete newb) glance at 'em when I'm in the parks for reasons I can't really explain other than perhaps nostalgia. But at this point if I don't know where stuff is..I better pack this WDW geek thing in. ;)

I also grab it all for souvineers. Ask friends who go to bring em back for me too.
:) Got a rack in my Disney room with various maps and brochures displayed. One day my MIL was visiting and looked through the room and said, You have enough maps and brochures to find your way around... Yeah... I told her... I don't need no stinkin' Maps. Fortunately we get along and she didn't clobber me. :D

I loved your response here lol....yeah, ive only been twice to WDW (10' and 12') but im a major planner and i spend a good deal of my time looking at WDW news and planning our next trip (april 2014) We dont need maps anymore but ive always loved maps and i enjoy looking at them. It reminds me of being a kid in southern cal. going to disneyland several, several times. We always get extra maps when we go and I keep them as well.. I cant wait to get my hands on the updated maps.....
