Map Studying

He has had two HUGE fatty tumors in 6 months that have hindered his movement. The first was on his paw pad and grew to the size of a baseball. This one has been on his shoulder and is the size of probably a baseball and a half. They are super hard and in pockets, so they haven't been hard to remove. But as soon as they are removed another larger one will grow somewhere else. So it is coming down to how many times can he take being put under (he has a congenital heart murmur that adds to this stress) and is it really worth it. I have watched him decline for months being at home all day long with him. My husband doesn't see it or won't see it, which I am sympathetic to because they are our babies too.

Hoping the family dog recovers quickly. As multiple dog owners we know how traumatic it is to have one go through any kind of illness or surgical procedure. And the older they get, the more worrisome it is to discover anything. We own a boarding kennel, fortunate to have dealt with a great vet in our area, who we trust our dogs with. Prayers going your way that all turns out well.
Now.. Maps. Yes, even though I know my way around, I always grab some to bring home. When I'm sitting at home, depressed that I'm not at Disney, I'll unfold them and gaze at them... thinking about everything thats there on the pathways. I can imagine myself standing in front of every ride, entering the queues. In my Disney room I have a brochure case that has multiple slots. Every map, brochure, folder is there from past trips. When my customers go to WDW I ask them bring back maps, brochures, etc for me too. So you are not alone pouring over those maps that get folded and unfolded many many times.

Sorry to hear about the pup. : ( Hope they get better.

RE Maps, don't waste the time studying it in advance. Know what attraction you want to go to first, grab a map on the way in, and then read it while waiting for that first attraction. I grab once, mostly to point out the closest restrooms for my DW. The time guide is a bigger help as that can change fairly regularly.

Thank you. He is home, had 4 tumors removed in total. The largest of which, the doctor was very concerned. He is pretty rough looking right now but his spirit is somewhat back. Now to wait. And enjoy what time we have left whether it is days or years.
Sounds like you are a person of my own heart....dreaming of walking the streets and paths throughout the world when we can't be there.

all my life i have loved looking at maps, not sure why lol....but WDW maps are the best....i just got in the mail my customized maps from the official website and theres nothing like unfolding it, and just going over the map and thinking which way youll be going in the park next time your there....and the cartoony look that the disney maps have is great. it always takes me back to being a kid in so. cal going to disneyland several times....(regular disneyland, before all the california adventure stuff....)

It always looks terrible just after a surgery. The good thing about dogs is they can recover very quickly from things that we would take longer to bounce back from. Give him a pat from us and lots of TLC.
