Glad to know some1 had a good day...down here in Broward County we were scared for our lives...we got the eye of the storm. Alot of damage down here..people still don't have power...stop lights ripped off their wires.

So glad to hear that your vacation went okay. Hopefully everyone effected by Wilma will get through the rough time period. I can only imagine how scary it is.

Yay! Another South Floridian! I live in Plantation, and I just got power back a few hours ago. This storm was pretty bad, Plantation got hit pretty hard; I hope Coral Springs is all right. Many people are without power here as well.

WDW knows their stuff when it comes to a hurricane. My family was up there one weekend when there was a hurricane, and they handled things very well.

Hi ! Glad you had a magical time! I also live in So. Fla and I was so scared for the safety of my family, friends, and neighbors. I had WDW visiting folks in mind too hoping that you were okay and having a good time despite Wilma.

I am actually in Coral Springs and no it isn't ok. It is a mess...we have no stop lights in some intersections...or partial ones due to high winds. Here are some pics of the damage that hurricane wilma brought. Yes experiencing a category 3 hurricane is one of the scariest things...seeing and hearing all the windows and doors creaking. Seeing roof tiles flying off....being in the eye of the storm and then experiencing the back end of the storm, which is even worse than the front.

Go ahead and look at the pics I posted below..just click the link and look at the devestation we have come upon:

My apologies to all suffering in S.Fla......I did not mean to minimize their impact.....I was just thanking all on this forum for the invaluable info that made my families trip better....and to the CM's that came to work in a storm so my children could have a great day.....just tryin to show my appreciation...didn't mean to offend....maybe I should have phrased it all better.

Peace

None taken.

No offense taken....I think those of us in S. Florida especially Broward and Palm Beach counties are all just frusterated....we all are just glad that you got to enjoy ur vacation. It is a stressful and frusterating time for we S. floridians...but we will get through it. I have something to llok forward to because I am going to Disney Dec 9th.
