no no no, they don't get run out of town. they become jerks, demand more money, and refuse to play. Oops! ha ha. Sorry, built up hostility. Love ya Vince!!!

I don't recall anyone ever refusing to play. In the last few weeks, the city got rid of not one but two former "saviors". I don't recall Jim Thome ever touching anyone's nerves. Just that he was deemed "expendable." The keys to a city's heart: always play at the highest level and never do or say anything. Don't live up to that, then well, you're yesterday's news. I was listening to WIP yesterday and the host, talking about Manny went, "He may be a troublemaker and a complete fruitcake, but his level of talent is so great, you must take a chance on him." My, how Philly fans have short memories... very short memories. :p

Yeah, they probably said the same thing about T.O. before he came there, huh? But then, I can't seem to recall Manny ever throwing a teammate under the bus...

Where the heck did that term come from? It's like sports comes up with one phrase that everyone likes to use all year. Last year, it was "step it up". If I hear one more person say "throw under the bus", I'll hit them with the bus. :fork:

LOL! I think you'd have a lot of people riding that bus with you!
