It's the first major rehab it has had in quite a few years. Here is a list of things they are doing off the top of my head, this is not intended to be a comprehensive list.
-Painting all interior areas
-Replacing All chairs/Tables
-Replacing ALL manequins <yae!>
-Upgrading Lighting/Sound
-Replacing Wood Flooring on Turntable
-Replacing Plexiglass Pannels on Turntable
-New Faster Turntable motor
-Replacing/Fixing Rigging Motors and Rigging
It should be VERY cool when it reopens.

That should be good. Let's make the floor turn faster. 
BTW, please tell me they are keeping this a 23 and older club. (or is it 21 and older, I can't remember)

It will still be 21 and up. I don't know the specific upgrades to the sound and lighting.. I hope it shows an improvement.. <not that the system they have now isn't amazing ....but....>

I know my b/f and I are going to miss Mannequins on this trip. What a bummer.
Hello all!
Just an update on this... I went to WDW Friday to get away from things. Anyhoo, walked by Mannequins Saturday afternoon and the back door was open on the lower level.
THERE'S NOTHING INSIDE! There were workers in there building, but all of the railings, the bar lighting was gone! There were boxes on the stage, but I couldn't tell if they were furniture or sound system. I can't wait to see what it looks like when they are done!

I've heard that.... makes me wanna stay away from that place... I had a few friends go out there and they felt, uh, disturbed :dazzle:

Poor Kyle is only 17...he has to stick with The Adventurer's Club and uh...the one where you walk up the stairs outside and there's the surfer dude on the outside...b/c he doesn't like the music in the other clubs he can go in (he can hear people say "I'll have a *** on the Beach" but he can't see a spin-and-puke dancefloor...:hammer: ) C'est la vie...

Yea, I heard that too that it will open on the 15th of November.
However, WDW has been known to change/delay things in the past..

Well it opened last night and I was there!
I was actually pleasantly supprised with the rehab.
The outside is quite a bit nicer than it was before and it carries the theme of the club to the outside as well. The first thing I noticed was the new costumes that the CM's are wearing.. Kinda hard to describe but they are almost a spandex type thing with color stripes on them. It is actually the same look that the manequins have inside now.. (more on that later). The outside entry near the elevator is alot brighter as well with some neat color changing around the doorway and really nice brushed metal work on the elevator which carries inside as well.
The elevator was fully rehabed with a new floor and brushed metal walls.. VERY nice. When we got to the top I noticed there is quite a bit more lighting than there was before.. Lots of those small halogen spots which light it up in just the right places and give it a very cool atmosphere. Reports of the walls being orange or yellow are greatly exagerated.. They have a slight color to them but in the lighting you can not really tell. They just don't look pitch black anymore..
More lighting everywhere on the second level.. Gives it a very cool south beach feel especially near the bar which is much improved and very professional looking.
Bottom floor looks good as well. They got ride of all the mannequins that were dressed up and moved them around.. paineted them pitch black then did a really cool body paint effect on them. Bottom bar looks AMAZING. Glass/Brushed Metal and really cool displays for the bottels.. I was in awe of how cool it looks. Dance floor now has a light strip around the entire edge which works and it moves a bit faster.. Not enough to mess up your dancing but it is cool! Lighting system is improved with some new emulators and also some other new lighting as well.. Fogger system was greatly improved as well.
Overall.. Amazing rehab.. Quite a bit of money put in it looks like to me.
