I feel sorry for the operators who now have to question whom should really sit on the outside now. I mean, we're all children at heart apparently.

With the numerous trips to disney with stollers I know watching your kids and trying to hold your balance with a stroller on your lap can not be achieved by all. How many times have we sat in a tram and waited for several minutes for people to pull out their stuff and fold a stroller and sit a stoller on their lap. Disney should add a stroller car to the back of all the trams, just push your EMPTY stoller in it and hop on the tram. Cheaper than the legal expense and save valuable time on waiting for people to learn how to fold a stroller. while we wait and wait and wait and wait. :brick: :brick:

Just read some updates on the story....it was NOT a stroller that fell off, but a camera.

Well, a camera is worse than a stroller, but still. You just can't be THAT dumb. I hope he's fine, but maybe the fall knocked some sense into him.

A person with half a brain says "Oh, crap! I dropped my camera!".....and here's the important part.........THEY KEEP THEIR SEAT, and tell someone when they get off, or walk back to get it themselves.

Is that hard? I certainly don't think so.

Just a friendly reminder to all: this is a REAL man, and while you may not know his name, and he may not know yours, there still should be a sense of decorum on these boards. Don't say anything here that you wouldn't say to his face.

To be honest, I'd say he was one stupid fool(to his face and then some)!!! Seriously, why do you think there are warning labels in the world? Because of people like this!!!!!! Personal belongings can be replaced, your life can't be... maybe an arm or a leg, but still!!!!!!!!

Idiots should not breed!!!!!!! :brick: :hammer: :brick: :hammer: :brick:

On a side note: almost every time I ride a Disney tram, they play that speil that tells you to tell the tram operator that you lost something at the next stop and to stay seated at least 3 times!!!!!!!!! I can see it now: he sues saying not enough warnings.

Maybe this is the final straw that will break the cammels back... We need to reform the tram system. It needs to be overhauled and it is way way way overdue!! There needs to be:
  • full panel locking doors on both sides of the tram,
  • limit of 4 people across on every row of the car,
  • each person must have their own seatbelt,
  • every child/teenager that is under 110lbs or shorter than 4' 9" must ride in a special tram seat (no Britney Spears impersonations with your kid on your lap)
  • Have a minimum of 4 CMs assigned to each tram car that will enforce the rules and demonstrate how to buckle a safety belt at each Tram stop
  • Install fold down video screens that visually explain how to stay seated at all times starring the gentleman who just demonstrated what not to do.
This has been a PSA from The Overly Excessive Safety Committee

Obviously you've never had a manic parent try to mow you down with a stroller because they were in a hurry and you were in the way. I've been injured by strollers in the parks!

I'm sorry.

When we used the stroller I was always extra cautious and I think I may have hit just one person and that was because he ran onto the path I was using...I apologized to him and he to me. I do have 2 scars on my ankle from a woman who got a little ticked that I took the last sweatshirt thst she "just had to have". I wouldn't give it up ( :lookaroun ) and she bashed me good, on purpose, right there in the store.

I was on property yesterday and heard about the accident. Now that I know he was going after a camera,I can definately repeat what we all said.....MORON! 10 to 1 odds the camera probably doesn't even work anymore after falling off the tram while it was moving. And I have to agree with others, this idiot probably is gonna file a lawsuit.

Yep, it's nearly always the parents. Can't blame the kids, and I speak as a Parent.

But on the odd occasion it is the jackass who is too busy looking into their camera or reading a map and doesn't look where they are going. If I was driving a car and they walked in front of me then they'd be dead, they should be lucky it's just their bashed ankle...

But most of the time it's the person driving the stroller and not looking where they are going.

Basically EVERYONE in WDW should be a little more aware of what's going on around them.
