Mama Melrose sorry for mis spell

I realize this might not be the best place to eat, but can you tell me if the steak is a good choice for a man? He loves steak, and maybe I can get the chicken pipette. Is this like a creamy sauce over white meat chicken with some sort of noodles? If so i could eat that. Are the portions tiny for the prices. Or should I just stick with going to 50's prime time for a second time meal. Their roast is so good over there and they now have a steak. We are not Le cellular people can eat that at a good steak house at home.Jut wanting to know if this might be a good choice. We are so tired of the restaurants that we ate at the last two times and they seem to have lost taste. Just want to experiment and try some new places. We are there for 9 TS days on the DDP

I haven't eaten at Mama Melrose in several years but it was good with good size portions when we did. We actually have an ADR for this upcoming trip and I'm looking forward to it.

From the dinner menu at Mama Melrose's-

Charred Sirloin Steak - gorgonzola butter on roasted red pepper polenta, grilled asparagus and red wine reduction $20.99

Sounds like a steak with fancy grits and grilled asparagus.
Sounds delicious.

Just be forewarned that the last few trips I have gotten the impression that Mama Melroses tends to run very behind on their ADR's. I think we waited over an hour last trip to be seated. The whole waiting area was packed with people who were waiting for their ADR the entire time we were there. Food was ok, but nothing special.

So what time was your res? I do not mind eating later or earlier to avoid all that. We are not set in stone people who HAVE to eat at a certain time. So I can work with that. I call my res in Sept 8th so want to be ready.

It was for lunch and not for dinner, but last December we walked into Mama Melrose's with no ADR and asked.
They said come back in one hour so we looked around the park and then had lunch there.
We had Italian type food and it was good, considering that it's not New York or Chicago Italian food.

Nice place. I plan to go back.

I believe our reservation was around 5ish. We were just able to finish our meal and book it over to see Fantasmic at 7:30. And that was eating fast, and having our payment ready when the waiter brought the bill. If I remember correctly, they do stop seating people an hour or so before the park closes so if they close at 7:30, then they have limited dinner seatings. On a night they are open til 9, there are a few more hours of dinner seatings which might help to alleviate the crowds. I do know the last 3 trips we have either asked about walk ups, or heard people ask, and they were told they were completely booked for the entire evening. (These trips were in Oct or early Jan, so not prime season by any stretch)

I have eaten at Mama Melrose twice. I haven't hate either item you mentioned, although I think my dad may have gotten the steak. Anything anyone in my family has ever gotten there has been good. Nothing like out of this world good, but all very tasty food and I think the portion sizes and prices are fair. However I am from NY where everything is outrageously priced so higher prices don't phase me haha. But I would recommend giving it a try....my family is doing that this time, trying 2 new places because you get tired of doing the same ones all the time

That's what we are thinking. I cannot stand Olive Gardens sauce so hope I do not get any of that. But, we find that places like Boma and O'Hanas just are not that good and why some think it is I cannot understand. But that is different taste throughout the United States. We all are used to what is in our areas or states and trying things like that make you think how they think our foods taste in America... I am going back to Boma because not that I liked it I did not but want a change of scenery. I will eat the salads like last time what little was in the bowl There were no soups ketles sat empty the whole hour we were there. Our reservations were at 7:45 so it is not like it was the ene of the day. They just do not replenish fast enough. Trying Pepper Market and Wolfgangs for lunches this timesine it is QS and is more like TS meals.
