The CGI looks like the stuff in "Oz the Great and Powerful", which is not a compliment. But I still dig the way the raven bowed to Maleficent, and Jolie looks fantastic in the role, and I WILL be seeing this.
But yeah, Disney needs to step up its game when it comes to special effects. And can't the fairies glow a little, instead of looking like midgets performing Peter Pan?

Dear goodness, I literally love everything abou this. Except one detail, please let maleficent turn into a dragon and not have that root be a replacement but to me that's no big deal. I know many on here will hate that. But goodness one can't deny this film looks beautiful.

I just wanted to add that Lana Del Rey's version of Once Upon a Dream for the movie is amazingly dark yet beautiful as well!

Follow the link where you can download it for free for a limited amount of time from the google play store. Her rendition is very new school meets old school, with a dash of darkness that just feels right for the film. I am really getting excited for this one. I hope it doesn't suffer the issues Alice had, where it was visually stunning but other than that had a bunch of plot issues.
The root dragon and army look like they are early in the story from the shots of Angelina. She is not in her black garb yet.

Mhm very true, perhaps she will become a dragon still in the climax? Either way to me its really not that big a deal. This film just looks fantastic, any worries I had about it with the last trailer are fairly gone, not to mention they are putting some thought into the soundtrack, so I think I shall buy it.

And why does every Disney live action movie have to end with a big Lord of the Rings-style battle where everyone has swords but no one bleeds?
Can these screenwriters think of no other way to resolve their plots?
Or is it some kind of boxoffice formula thing?

the "battle climax" when the "bad guy" is about to win... and the hero rises.
also dunno, but angelina in that suit makes her look gorgeous.. specially when she smiles..

The song really won me over. This is probably the first teaser I've enjoyed, and Jolie seems to be having fun with the role! Lets hope this doesn't suck as much as I suspect it may.

Angelina Jolie looks amazing, but did they really need to give Maleficent a tragic backstory? She always hit me as the kind of person who was just evil and loved it
