Making Magic Kingdom Rope Drop

I've heard at Animal Kingdom they don't let you into the parking lot until 30 minutes before the park opens, but I have never heard of this sort of thing at the Magic Kingdom.

It's probably something that we're doing. I'll have to figure it out next trip.

Speaking of Animal Kingdom.... last year we pulled into the AAA lane and went towards that lot. I had the AAA pass on the window and as I pulled down the lane a rather large female CM in a golf cart was sitting there and flagged me down to stop for her (I knew she just wanted to make sure I was supposed to be there) and so I stopped and waited. And waited and waited and waited while she messed around with her name tag. Are you kidding me?! So I honked my horn slightly after a couple of minutes and she gave me a look that would kill. So I left her big rear end sitting there and pulled on into the lot and parked. She came flying up to the car so fast I thought she was going to tip it over when turning. She started yelling that we aren't supposed to be here in this lot and the next time she tells us to stop we need to stop. :ROFLOL: I walked away from her while telling her to check out the pass in the windshield and the next time I come to her and do what she says to do willingly she better do her job and stop abusing the little bit of power she has in her day by making us wait until she is good and ready.

We stay offsite and leave our room at 8:00, drive to the TTC and park, monorail over to MK and go thru security and then up to the rope. Always made it and had to wait for opening.

I know it sounds silly but I couldn't do that. :( I don't like it when people use old mugs (or do one of the other highly heated topics on here) so I would feel like a hypocrite saying that people shouldn't do those things and then turn around and do something like that. That's just the way I am. I think I may even be the only person on the planet who fully stops at a STOP sign and uses my turn signals. :ROFLOL:

Now there are 2 of us.

I usually drive to the Magic Kingdom 45 min to 60 min before rope drop. I normally get to park up front to so i can walk. I kill time by either ridding the ferry boat over or walk to the poly and take that boat over. I take my time stay in the shade to watching the opening and do what I want for the first two hours before the big rush.

I try to always park at the MK because they are open the latest and use their boats or busses to get around.

When it cools down I use my motorcycle so I can always park up front.
