Making an itinerary without knowing Fastpass yet??

I'm wondering how everyone comes up with daily schedule when we won't know which Fastpass we have until 60 days out. I just made all my ADR's and now I feel like I'm at a halt with planning our days until I do my Fastpasses. Any tips??

Plan your itinerary based on park hours and your ADRs. As long as you don't start booking FP+s days after your window opened up, you should pretty much be able to score FPs for every ride you want. That being said, take advantage of booking sooner rather than later to have a wider selection of time slots that you can then have an easier time of working around your ADRs/touring plans.

Note: if you want 7DMT or Anna & Elsa, you will definitely want to book ASAP.

For the most part, if you get your Fastpasses right at the 60 day mark, you should be able to get whatever time you want for any attraction. The only exceptions are the Mine Train and Elsa and Anna. Make a general plan of what you would like your daily schedule to look like, but just understand that you may need to switch the order of a ride or two because of FP times.

Ok great! Thanks that makes me feel better. So when I do my fastpass selections I should already have an idea as to what time I want for each choice based on my plan. Makes sense:). I'm glad to hear it's not too difficult to get the fastpass times I would need.

The process on MDE is a little misleading FYI. They will suggest 3 different combinations of times for each of your 3 FPs, and they might be really spread out with the first one scheduled for 10AM, and the last for 8PM. Or they could be more 'stacked' on top of each other in a tighter time frame.

Whatever combination you select, you can modify the times later so it more tweaked to your liking. (Honestly, they should just let you do that initially, but whatever!)

Oh ok. So I just go with whatever the system offers me and then modify? I might have to watch a tutorial on how to do this!! Luckily I have some time to figure it out. My girls really love Anna & Elsa so I don't want to mess this up lol

If you already have park tickets linked to your account, you can mess around with FPs now. My 60-day window hasn't opened up yet, but I've booked a few sets of FPs for 30 days out and then cancelled them, just to get used to the system!

Yes, at first, you are stuck choosing 1 of the 3 scenarios MDE gives you. You can modify each individual attraction and/or time immediately after. A tutorial might not be a bad idea. The system could be more friendly. :p

Good to know. I'll check it out. Thanks!

Can someone tell me how to look around and book 'dummy passes' please?? :)
i am 13 days away from picking mine & i would love to have a look around beforehand. I'm going to the 'new fast pass plus' section but it wont let me choose a person to book for, & when i go to the 'my tickets & reservations' section it just says i can make selections on August 19.

Any advice is very much appreciated :)

We have been to WDW a few times now. We drive down from PA when we go. If we go for 6 night 7 day. We usually plan the day we arrive as not going to the parks to rest til the next day. We are usually ono a low budget so we go the cheapest route we can. 2 adults & 3 children DD 8 DD 5 DS 2. Usually we plan by what parks we like to go to & what we want to do the most in those parks. If you do Parades , fireworks & say fantasmic with set times. So whichever you pick to do then you have a plan for that time. You can plan around that time. Unless you use FP then you want to find a spot in advance an hour before it starts otherwise your not going to get a good viewing spot. Enough babbling figure out what you want to do the most & plan for it. With your FP picks make sure you view park maps to see where you'll have to go so you plan your pick with enough time to make it there. Try to pick FP for whatever close to or in the same area that way you can keep your picks close to save you time. example SPLASH & BTMR
