Make your own EPCOT style theme park

If you could design a completely new park about technology and, if you want, countries around the world....Disney based or not, what would you like to see?

I figured it would be a good thought experiment.

Oh god, I actually tried to do this in RCT3, but the parks in that game are too small for what I wanted to do. I had it set up pretty much like Epcot with a main ride in the center and supporting rides flanking the main. In the center I had an omnimover based on the history of civilization. One one side there was a high capacity ride that took an extremely in depth (woo, physics) look at how basic energy worked, a large hexagonal building with exhibits on human health, and a kind of high speed thrill ride. On the other side there was a pavilion I called "Final Frontiers" which was a combination of both the oceans & outer space, another omnimover based on the human mind, and a large pavilion on farming. Yeah, really original, I know . I only built three of the rides I imagined and none of them had finished buildings.

Of course, all of this detail was imagined by me and not actually in the game itself. So, yeah, that's my story of an Epcot-like park I tried to make in RCT3. (Sorry for wall of text!)

Try RCT2. You get a lot bigger park there.

I'd build the ORIGINAL EPCOT how Walt Disney would've done it.

I would build WestCOT which was originally planned for California! At the Entrance it was supposed to have a larger version of Spaceship Earth called SpaceStation Earth. Future World would have been a replica of the Orlando version but with improvements.

Now for World Showcase:
- The first pavilion that guests would see upon entering WestCOT’S World Showcase would have been the Americas Pavilion, with an area representing early 20th century United States at the park's entrance. A First Nations Spirit Lodge show would have been shown in the Canadian section and an indoor Mexican area would have included a fiesta show and restaurant. There would have been another spirit show, featuring the Inca and Aztec cultures.

- In Asia, Ride the Dragon, a steel roller coaster running through the Dragon’s Teeth Mountains would have had cars designed like Chinese lion-dragons seen in festival dances. At the point where the coaster would be at its peak height, enabling riders to see out of the park, the moving cars would be engulfed in billowing red and gold silks to hide the outside world. For smaller children there would be a carousel in this area of mythical Asian animals. Architecturally, the Asian Corner would have been composed of Japanese and Chinese elements and a white marble Indian palace which was to house the dining and entertainment sections of this particular Corner of the World.

- The Africa Corner would feature a white water river raft ride down the fictional Congobezi River, as well as an exhibit on basic farming culture. There would have been outdoor entertainment in the form of African drummers. There were also designs to build a grand Egyptian Palace.

- A Greek amphitheatre would be the central point of the European pavilion. This would have had combined European countries together with England, France, Germany and Italy being represented. In the back of this pavilion would be the German and Italian courtyards with Canals where boats would travel along.

Overall, I love the idea of instead of having pavilions for countries having them for Continents!

I'd build Ford's Magic Skyway. ;)

I'd call my park project living universe. It would be similar to epcot but also a bit disneysea like. The park would have areas based on Oceania, Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America but also on Space, Technology, Energy, Time, Weather, Motion, Health and the body, Nature, Hydrogen, Science, Imagination and Humans and Animals.
