So I've heard that CPers at Disneyland get 16 entrances on their pass but WDW gets 6 (I'd expect both would get 6 because part-time/seasonal but I could be wrong?)

Correct, DL CM's get sixteen entrances a year, with up to three people to sign in. When you've stayed for a decade or more (I can't remember the exact number), they let you sign in three people as many times as you want. Only six in Florida? LOL that blows.

I guess, much like most stuff in Orlando, everything got downgraded

Could be. I think it's that way because of the different demographics. The DLR doesn't get as many foreign tourists as WDW, and is more like a hang out spot for those who don't live too far. Maybe DL doesn't care about their CMs signing in people too many times. Well clearly they don't.

Oh of course! Which is probably the other reason DLR is so well-maintained (well, comparatively) - people actually notice broken stuff and are there enough to care and keep bothering Guest Relations about it. Whereas at WDW, they know their main profit line is tourists and very few of them will be back, ever, so they can keep going the way they're going. Sure, they get complaints but who cares, that one voice is drowned out by the armies of tour groups (literally).

From my perspective it makes somewhat sense to get more "free" people in the gates as it clears the big psychological hurdle of that ticket price, freeing up room for merch and food (but obviously not too many)

Exactly. I bet if we (DLR) got as many foreign tourists and groups, CMs wouldn't be allowed to sign in people as many times as they can now.

Don't get me started on DL fans and complaints. I was working unload at Peter Pan one day and a kind woman gently tapped me on the shoulder and complained about the wait time post. Apparently the post was thirty minutes and she had been waiting in line for forty-five minutes. You're going to have fun in attractions at Disneyland or California Adventure, whichever you get LOL!:D

LOL!

Which park would you like to be placed at, and which attraction or attractions would you like to learn?

I'm just excited to be at Disneyland! :P I wouldn't mind either (though, OK, I do have a preference for Disneyland over DCA) and hmm... I'd want Indy or any of the "classics" in Disneyland or Tower in DCA.

I told myself the same thing... "I don't care where I'm put, I'm just happy to be here!" I very much cared and I really didn't want DCA.

Indy would be very cool. I wanted either Indy or Matterhorn... I had a huge feeling I was going to be put in Fantasyland. I was put exactly there, but I didn't get Matterhorn. You can't be placed there, but I'm glad I didn't get it.

I hope you get what you want!

Haha thanks!

And yea, I think Tower also isn't a New Hire attraction, but hey, ya never know. Maybe Mickey will decide I look better as a bellhop.

My view on Fantasyland is this: As long as you don't get that cruise around the world that makes people go nuts... :P

I also have a feeling Tower isn't a new hire attraction. If you're placed into Hollywood Land you'll get Monsters Inc. My roommate was placed there. Like you said, you never know.

Lol you can place in small world! I hope you don't get it because that would be miserable, and it take a while to train for other Fantasyland rides. If you get Fantasyland, you'll get Toontown as well, but unless you stay after the program, you won't train for Toontown.

BTW, trams count as attractions, I believe. Good luck.

Trams got moved into parking. Also, they didn't ask if I had a license (I do, but they don't know that) so they can't exactly put me in control of a tram xD

When my DS signed me in as one of his six, I was one for upto 6 days so I stayed for 6 days, that left him 5, six days as a balance.

The room he reserved and checked me into was 60% off, moderate season, dining I believe was $25/per day per person, so he and I each $25.

During most of the year it was 20% discount on goods and food but near the holidays it has always gone up to 40%, nothing that I remember on alcohol. Could have used a discount on that, lol.

WDW CP's get 6 main gate entrances since they are considered seasonal. The 16 number you might be hearing is what part time and full time hourly cast get.

Oh ok, so Disneyland and WDW treats them as different "levels" of Cast, or is Disneyland just more generous on the blue pass in general?
