Main Street USA Barber Shop..Questions

Couple quick questions...

Do they just do haircuts/trims?? My wife would want something a little more than a trim. Maybe a little styling...

Also, what are the current prices there??

I got a haircut there last December.
From what I've seen it's basically a guy's barber shop and not a women's styling salon.

They can, if requested, put on some glitter or play with styling gel a little to give a shape to the hair, mainly for comical purposes.

The prices are either adult or child.
I got charged the child price because I don't have a lot of hair. :lol:
I made up for it by leaving a bigger tip.

The prices are in the range of about 14.95, or 17.95, or 21.95. Something like that.
Seemed reasonable considering it's on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.

The barber shop operates on a first come first serve basis and they only have about 2 barbers so there could be a wait.

They'll do some cutting but I don't think you can plan on a full styling and everything.

I went in March of this year...and we took our son for a haircut. While waiting...there was a lady who did get her hair cut. They didn't do anything fancy...just cut. So there was no blow drying, etc. I'd call and ask ahead of time to see if they do what your wife wants done...that way you do not wait for nothing. Since it is a first come first serve...i'd do the Barbershop first time in the morning.

All three of my daughters have had their hair cut there and it has never been more than a traditional cut. They will add some temporary color and a bit of glitter here and there but the usual salon wash, cut and style is not done.

My kid got his first haircut there and they were awesome. They did mine and it was just a trim, and I have seen women in there but never really paid attention to what kind of cut they were getting.

I suggest you get there and get Michal to cut your hair. And I didnt spell his name wrong thats how he spells it.

I remember my first hair cut there back in 2002. It was amazing, since the Dapper Dans happened to stop by and sang for me! THAT was the ultimate Disney experience! I wonder if Michael and Maria (I think that's their names) would recognize me. It would be hilarious.

I make sure I get my haircut every trip I go...And I agree that Mike is the best...It is a better haircut than I get at home

This is a must do for all the kids and my husband each trip. Maria and Michal are great I believe there is another woman named Penny who also does a great job.

I do not think they do actual styling that a salon would do. I got may haircut there, but I am a guy. They do a great job though but mainly for guys.

My 15 month old has his hair cut there in May. They did an OUTSTANDING job! He has to get his hair cut quite often because it is so thick and unruly, and he always squirms or screams. They kept him busy and distracted the whole time. We are going back in September and will be taking him in again!
