Main Street Live Camera

Does anyone else remember the camera on top of the Train Station on Main Street? It was on the Disney web site and provided live pictures of Main Street pointing toward Cinderella's Castle. Why was it taken down? Does anyone know of any plans to bring it back?

I remember when they had 3 cams.. one at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and the Disney Studios. I use to go in every day and look, but those cams have not be available for a few years now and I've been told that there are no plans in the near future to bring them back online any time soon... WHAT A SHAME!!!

I checked last week, they stopped working in like 2001 and probably not going again

I've heard the cameras were taken out to keep the competition from seeing how busy Disney parks were. They shut them down months before 9-11, so after all the security put in place after, I wouldn't expect them back.

Yeah, they shut them down originally because they didnt want "Universal" seeing how their attendances were. Now since 9-11 though they now have 2 reasons not to have them up.

Yeah, I remember it. I caught some piccies of Boba Fett and Stormtroopers standing up there during Star Wars weekends. Made for a funny little story on my old Star Wars website.

I moved onto the new one as well.
