But the drum has never been in the lead. Before Tink lead the parade, the Blue Fairy did.

hmmm... well I was not privy to seeing the original parade or the one that ran in 2001. I hope the Blue Fairy fit into the mix alittle better than Tink does currently...I just didn't "feel" it.

Well she was smaller and her lights were not LED. I like tink better because she is one step closer to an updated msep for dlr

So besides it being insanely humid yesterday, the crowd levels were great. We got out to WDW around 4pm and went right for DHS, walked to the entrance and checked out the tips board, wait for ToT was 40 mins, but when we got to the tower the wait was only 13 minutes! Got in and out of DHS in about 35 mins.

MSEP was fantastic, and again, the crowds weren't bad at all, we had dinner at Cosmic Rays around 5:45 and about half of the tables were open. We grabbed a spot for the parade around 7:30ish. Had someone ask us to move over alittle about 20 minutes before the parade and we respectfully said no :)D). The parade definitely has more of an open feel running through DCA, but I also wasn't sweating when I watched it there in December either...it's kind of a gross feeling dripping with sweat while you're doing nothing but watching a parade! The only issue with the first run of the parade was the bumble bee from the Alice set broke down right as it got to the main entrance of the emporium. It was nice seeing the parade run down Main Street this time!

Does anyone else have a problem with the Pixie Hollow float coming BEFORE the drum float????

I agree with the fireworks. It really gained momemtum during the Pirates theme, and the attack on the castle is a great effect, but the rest of the show just didn't work for me and tink saving the castle seemed so rushed. The fairies fighting over the red and blues were pretty good though!

I still can't stand how MK makes us keep the center of Main Street open for foot traffic during the fireworks show! That is prime space for watching. I mentioned Disneyland's method of having the right side walk for people entering the park and the left sidewalk for people leaving to one of the Coordinator CMs but he shrugged it off and said it would never work at MK. Whatev dude.

Humidity was insane this night. Got a Dole Whip and by the time I got in position for fireworks, about 5 minutes later, I was drinking it! I've gone alot in June and July, it seems the humidity is alot higher in June.

I hope we are not seeing the start of another stitch type advertising where tinkerbell is going to be everywhere in her pixie hollow outfit.

I think it has already begun. see pixie hollow in the fantasy land expansion.

Anyway this is a great video of the parade, as much as I love spectromagic I am disapointed I won't get a chance this summer to see the electrical parade.

Yes
Unforunately I'm afraid we are. :(

Yikes.
But the real reason why I posted in this thread is, anyone know what's going on with Jaq and Gus? Some days they appear in their Electrical Parade outfits, other days in their SpectroMagic outfits, other days not at all...why is this?
