Sorry to share a video from this awful rag, but you can really tell from this high quality grab of the intro that the new voice is Bill Rogers (you can hear his voice/cadence under the vocoder). Makes for a great segue from his intro to the vocoder section.

The only thing I would change about this intro is I wish the fanfare were moved to the beginning of the vocoder section rather than before the 50th spiel.

They really lose me at “ In thousands of Sparkling lights…” when they start changing the pitch. Also don’t like how the baroque hoedown starts. Sounds weak and tinny

Sound was a dissapointment with "Baroque Hoedown" on a loop . Not hearing clearly the indiviual float tunes. You can somewhat hear them when they do a ground level camera view but then its distorted by the Disney Parks blog audio. Sometimes the sound engineer lowers loop to hear it better. Also like some others pointed out you will hear the floats rounding the flag pole and that throws off what you are watching.
Here's a better version from Blog Mickey

And DAPS Magic

Sounds to me like MSEP is not going to be retiring anytime soon. If anything they might continue to update it, which is a good thing and exactly what they should have done instead of putting money into creating PTN.

New Finale music loop is spectacular. Was worried they’d just use the dream lights finale music and they proved me very wrong. Just wish there were some dancers to go along with it
Heck, add in other Disney Character walking next to the float similar to the WDW's version of MSEP ran in the late 1990s.

I’m not a fan of the new intro either. 10% because they changed the nostalgic ladies and gentlemen I’m used to but 90% because I felt the 50th spiel in a normal voice spoiled the reveal.

In the past when the lights dimmed and the electronic voice started it would send chills up my spine, the new 50th intro kind of ruins that moment.

The original intro was designed to entertain. This one was recreated to hammer home that Disney is Progressive in case anyone forgot. It’s like getting a blog backstory in real time.

It’s unfortunate things are the way they are now a days that resulted in the need to change the classic intro. But since they had to… I think Tokyos new intro for Dreamlights is better, especially the voice.

As for MSEP's Finale I love it! The ending soundtrack wasn't bad at all considering it was brand new. Not from Dreamlights or a refresh of the original MSEP Small World.

DL Forever looks Fantatic as well! However, why won't DL put Kiss Goodnight back in after Forever?!?!?! It was just Live The Magic after the show. Kiss Goodnight was mentioned in the articles but it's just like 2019 when Kiss Goodnight didn't return!

Considering that current MSEP borrowed music from Dreamlights, we are expected Dreamlights version of Small World to be included. However, we glad that the MSEP small world given the unique music, given that Dreamlights version was too orchestral and doesn't fit with "electro-synthe-magnetic" MSEP does.

Mentioning about DL Forever exit music, they appeared to cut to just one exit music only "Live the Magic", giving similar treatment as most other Disney nighttime spectaculars where only the show's theme song to be included as a exit music (like HEA exit music). However, when RDCT debuted and during DL Forever first run, we got two exit musics (Remember When and Wishes for RDCT and Kiss Goodnight and Live the Magic for DL Forever first run).

okay So i watched the parade several times.
And i gotta say that i saw some major improvements not like any ones going to notice besides the drum tag and Finale unit.

1) They have updated all of the floats with brand new LED lighting.

2) New dialogues for characters (Alice unit, Petes Dragon)

3)Costumes had some tweaks.

All in all its a classic, I wish that they had the dumbo unit and dancers on the Small world unit.

They could have as well moved tinker bell to the opening unit.

Why is there no sponsorship on Electrical parade this time, Usually its sponsored by Sylvania.

Cinderella Ballroom unit has too many entertainers, They could have moved them to some units that lacks entertainers.

Snow white unit looks great.

The ending float is a nice improvement over the flag. I like the how the fireworks are animated now instead of static like before. I wonder if these floats are driven by someone inside them or running by a wire in the street?

Oh well! That probably happens often. Saw it myself in MK in 2000.

A couple more thoughts. IDK why DL didn't keep Pixie Trail. It gave MSEP a nice added touch! Yes I know, it was removed in Spring 2017, after MSEP returned to DL.

As good as the new Finale is.. I kind of wish DL kept at least the Eagle and maybe the American Girls And put it front of the 50th Finale.

I think it was due to the fact that it was added when the Tinkerbell float was added in 2009 when it was DCA because she was the originator of the "pixie trail" that went through the parade since her float was replaced the Blue Fairy float at the beginning of the parade. When her float got moved to behind Peter Pan, the illusion was pretty much lost. The pixie trail on her float is still there.
