Main Street Decorations :confused:

we were at Magic Kingdom over the weekend. What happened to the decorations over Main Street? The wreaths and lights were not up

WE were quite sad only the lamp posts and buildings were festive

they were taping for the christmas parade. i dont know if that affects the decorations. but when we were there main street seemed empty because of the equipment was constantly changed and moved. it might be going all back up tonight.

The garland over Main St and the tree will be replaced soon. It's gone because of this weekend's parade taping. Looks so empty without it.

It was there during Thanksgiving weekend. It looked great! I could just stroll main street everyday :::sigh:::

It is definitely due to the parade taping. All the decorations over Main St. generally go back up the following day (including the tree and the statue of Walt & Mickey). The fact that they take the statue down is a crime!

It's the main reason why I would never go to MK the day of the parade taping again. It doesn't feel the same and it feels like a "disaster" (IMO).

They have to take that statue down though. The equipment that was there was enormous and I believe it was said in another thread that Walt would never of wanted a statue of him in the park because the park isn't about him its about the guests.
