Good Morning All. As I looked at photos of one of my beloved eateries in today's food blog,it brought a heavy heart..Now I've nothing against Starbucks but the missing freshly made warm cinnamon rolls,and the removal of the seats inside is a big mistake,IMHO.But what are your opinions on the alterations.? Have any of you been since the changes have taken part.?;)

One Little Spark...
I'm sorry, I couldn't understand you with your scottish brogue.

<grin>

Seriously though, I'll know in 3 weeks, when I go...but right now I am very leery of it. I was never a fan of the bakery (in it's last version), but a flat out airport style Starbucks doesn't excite me at all.

It doesn't help that I don't think their coffee is that good.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
I agree with you and I and my DH have heavy hearts as well. We personally decided not to go in the "bakery" in our future visits even though DH loves his Starbucks but we can get most of all they have at our local Starbucks and ESP with no seating we don't appretiate that either! When we usually visit it can be a tad chilly some days in Dec and do not feel like sitting in the elements somewhere outside to enjoy mediocre Starbucks pasteries. Lol :)

We will be there in just over a week and are not sure if we will even go into the Bakery Starbucks. DW loves her morning coffee, but there have already been tears from DD9 about the loss of the cinnamon rolls and the good blueberry muffins (Starbucks muffins are NOT the same). Every visit we would get Bakery at least once for breakfast. 1 Cinnamon Roll, 1 Blueberry muffin and a couple drinks and the three of us were satisfied. Usually eaten while waiting for whatever princess was currently in the M&G across from Cosmic Ray's.

That is a tradition that we will sadly miss. We'll try the cinnamon roll from Gaston's and hope, but....our expectations are not very high.

I never spent much time in the Main Street Bakery before the Starbucks conversion. I'm not a coffee drinker, but for those who are, I do think Starbucks is a better sponsor than Nestle. Nescafé is some truly awful stuff. One thing I did get at MSB is breakfast sandwiches, and I think the ones that Starbucks makes are far superior to the slimy ham, egg and cheese croissants that Disney used to sell. So for my personal use, the change is an improvement. I'm not fussed about the removal of seating. The place was always so busy that I never tried to find a seat in there anyway.

I don't drink coffee (ducks) but I sure did enjoy the cinnamon rolls. Never was able to finish one (to my son's delight) The one thing I really liked, was they had breakfast options. That's the one thing I wish they had through out the parks, more breakfast options at QS spots
Same here ..not a coffee drinker...my other half..well that's a different story and she likes.Starbucks....we generally have eaten breakfast by the time we hit the parks..so rarely hit the bakery...who knows maybE Gastons will be the "new bakery"

My husband is identical to your bride, he MUST have his coffee in the AM, but in his case he doesn't even talk until he's had his first swig LOL

I am the coffee drinker in the house! :eek: I know, I can't believe it either! JB is happy with a pepsi but I need my "hit". The Bakery was never a hot spot for us so I am underwhelmed by the changes but thrilled they will be serving up some real caffine!

I am just not a big Starbucks fan in general. I love coffee but Starbucks just isn't my favorite! In fact, I would rather drink the resort coffee from my refillable mugs than Starbucks...However, I will be going because I have a Starbucks gift card I need to use before I lose it. I will be there in a little over a week and form an opinion. I plan to hit there in the afternoon for an iced coffee to give me a little caffeine to finish my day.
