Mailbox Full Notification

LOL.... Marcia, they system sends you an email automatically every time someone tries to send you a PM.... That was probably one of us shouting because you weren't noticing in the fraction of a second we have to wait...

I'm glad it didn't have anything to do with Steve, then. I would hate to have to punish him! Now Tramp, on the other hand, would do it on purpose!!

But if you want those emails to stop everytime you get a pm, just cancel them in the "options" menu of your "users cp".

Maria, I never enabled it! That's why I was so surprised to get 5 emails at once! I think mighty is correct...they were just impatient, and didn't give me time to empty my mailbox!

Email Notification is switched on by default. So when you first register, if you do no specifically switch it off, you will receive an email if you mailbox is full.
If your mailbox is full, you will receive an email telling you about it, everytime somebody tries to send you a PM.

LOL... no!! I don´t realize I get the message because the "pop up" alert window doesn´t work all the time! I would never ignore your messages...

LOL... Okay, I believe you... although Steve insists there's nothing wrong with the pop-up wondow (I know it doesn't always work for me, either, and Tramp has had the same problem he said).

lol Steve my pop up window works as well. The only problem I see is when it gets sent to my email letting me know I have a private message. It gives me 2 emails from the same person when the person only sent me one pm.

The pop-up sometimes doesn't show up when I'm on the main forum index--for example, I'll log into the forums and there will be new messages but I won't see a pop-up window.... I'll be going from forum index to thread to forum index and not seeing it.... I've even re-loaded pages and it hasn't worked... If you'd like, I'll try to pay more attention. I have my email account in Yahoo! linked to Messenger so it alerts me when there's a new email and gives the subject line, and that has been more reliable than the pop-up window.
