Meet me on Michigan Ave...right by the Water tower at 2am. I'm sure we can get a couple before the auctions. hehehehehe. :animwink:

Just kidding. If you find out a date I'd love to pick one up too!
The had an auction a couple of weeks ago for a couple of banners, I forgot what banners, but the auction was mentioned on TV (Chicago Works).

Awesome pics! Must have been nice. I just don´t like the tapestry guys everywhere now!

What was that "castle"? A float? If so, wow!

Thanks for posting them! :)

The castle is our own version of Cinderella's castle. hehehehe, just kidding it's a historical landmark. It's an old version of an water tower. It was used as a pumping station to get water out to all the chicagoans who lived 'downtown' (1860s). It's one of the only surviving buildings after the great chicago fire (the story where a cow knocked over a lamp and the city was burned down...). Now it's used as an art gallery and sits right smack middle of our shopping district. The Water Tower Place (across the street) has 7+ levels of stores and is quite nice. and there's plenty more shops down the street! It's nice...fancy stores + street totally lit up at night = $$$ from tourists.
