Mickey was in town Saturday and lighted up Michigan Ave for us Chicagoans. Here's some images from the parade. (They were taken off the TV so they're not that crisp )

Wow, that was pretty cool! What was this for again?? I know Disney's going to be a Philadephia's Thanksgiving parade on Thursday. I'm looking foward to what they're going to have. Thanks for the pics!

The Parade was for the lighting up of North Michigan Ave...the christmas lights...

I am 99.9% sure those are video cap. Looks like it anyway..

I wasn't able to go so I recorded the show. The images I posted were just some of the things that were downtown last week (images from video). It wasn't much, but it's still cool to see disney stuff in Chicago

I want one of the banners... hanging from the street lamp posts. They are nice.. 100YoM ones... I have to figure out how to get my hands on one...once they take them down.

DMC... The City of Chicago from time to time has an auction of lamp post Banners. I know they auctioned off the Bulls Championship banners back in the late 90's. The next time they have an auction you may want to check with the city to see what if any banners will be available at the next Auction. I would recomend that sometime after the New Year you call the City and see if they have any Auctions schedualed in the near future, or they may be able to direct you to there website for Auctions to check on any auctions that are upcomming.

You must have read my mind....lol.. I sware.. That is what I was looking into...I do remember the auctions... Thanks for the info.. I will look into it more next week...
