Magical Moments and REAL secrets

In one of our previous trips, my oldest son was picked to ring the opening bell at Columbia Harbour House. That was pretty special.
On another trip, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. We had reservations at Cinderalla's Castle for dinner on our actual anniversary. They seated us at what they called the Table of Honor. It was a table for 2 right against the window overlooking Fantasyland. It made for a magical dinner.

They used to do this at Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge golf courses, and they still do at Lake Buena Vista, but if you are one of the first people to get to the starter on any given morning, they will select you to make the pin position for the 18th (9th at LBV) hole. I got to do it at Eagle Pines the one time I played it and still have the certificate. They used to post a copy of the certificate on the tee of the hole, but I was just down there and they posted it on the screen of the golf cart GPS. Pretty neat.

The first family to the MK ferry dock in the morning will get picked up by one of the small launches or sometimes the cm pontoon boat and get a private ride complete with first family certificate. Also it is not uncommon for Captain Hook and Smee to ride across on the first ferry.

They move the cup every day?

Yes. It keeps one area of the green from getting worn out from constant use. Some courses will let pin positions go for 2-3 days, but usually the cup gets moved every day on every hole.

That's a lot of patching and rough texture on a green. But I'm sure they aerate them in well.

They have (or at least they used to have) a hidden mickey scavenger hunt at the Wilderness Lodge, just ask someone at the information desk. It has a bunch of clues that lead you around the resort. Lots of fun!
