Magical Express - Seperate Arrivals

We are arriving in Orlando on Monday, flying on a seperate carrier from 2 members of our 6 member party. They are also flying in earlier than us. Can I just hand off their passes for the magical express to them so they can head to the hotel ahead of us instead of having to wait?

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Are they getting there earlier than you and waiting at the airport for you? When I have met friends down there we have met up at the resort cause I'm always excited to get onto property. As long as everyone is registered with Magical express there shouldn't be a problem. If not everyone has the luggage tags you/they will have to describe the luggage to the people at the desk.

Does that answer your question?

The OP wants to see if the other member have to wait for them.

Nope, as long as their names are on the reservation and they have the yellow tags (or they can take their luggage themselves) then they can ride DME. Just make sure when you tell Disney your flight info. that you tell them that there are different members flying seperately. It should work out just fine!

Ok that's what I thought. Actually they can do Magical Express without having the yellow tags. They'll just have to describe the luggage to the person at the desk.

Not Magical Express related, but the earlier-arriving friends should be aware that once they get to the hotel, they may not be able to check in and access the room unless they're the Primary Guest on the reservation.

The Front Desk may be able to bend the rules, but going by the book the Primary Guest must be there for check-in.

Thanks so much for answering my question. Our agent is aware of our seperate arrivals and yes, they have already notified Disney. So we should be all set. I went ahead and took the magical express passes that were in their name out of the magical express book I received. So this way they have some documentation on them when they arrive at the airport.

And they are already aware that they will not be able to check in when they arrive (10:30 AM arrival). Needless to say, they weren't thrilled, but check-in time is check-in time!!! So be it!
