We just went though this for the first time. I brought our bags down and left DW and DD2 in the room. Sure enough, DW's bag was two pounds over with mine a half pound light. I called DW to get her down there because I didn't want to be responsible for what was going to get left behind.It was really nice being able to do this relaxed in the lobby rather than under stress at MCO.
So good to know - when my husband heard the bag was over and it was a $50 charge he flipped (and started scanning the area for the nearest trash can) - the magic of the vacation was definitely gone!! Glad we can get that part out of the way at the hotel - my parents are driving down so anything extra can just go in their trunk!!
