Arriving March 26th in the morning with a HS Choir trip of 120 kids plus chaperones (we are pretty much an entire airplane minus a couple seats). We are using ME. Here are the questions....

Is ME used to dealing with groups this large?
Can we contact them to make them awareof our arrival?
Is there actually anything they can do for us?

Any help and info about this would be much appreciated!

Do you have group reservations with Disney for your rooms, tickets, etc? Where are you staying?

Is this part of the Magical Music Days, YES program, etc?

If so, contact Disney directly, usually chartered buses are arranged just for your group.

But is this at an additional cost? We are using ME to decrease costs to the students. Do they still arrange chartered buses seperate?

I would contact Disney directly with your questions, or your travel agent.

If you didn't use a travel agent, did you phone in all of your flight arrangements to Disney and Magical Express?

If you leave on March 26 you should already have your yellow DME luggage tags and DME booklets - DME needs to be arranged at least 10 days before arrival.

Chances are, if you (or the group leader) has given DME your flight info, they KNOW you're coming, how many are coming, and they'll be ready for you. (They'll probably put your group on your own buses) When I was there in December, the DME desk had a separate queue specifically set aside and labeled for Pop Warner groups.

Perhaps a good idea would be to herd the kids off to the side a little bit away from the DME area while the leader goes over to the DME area and checks in and gets instructions.

I'm not sure how they handle luggage tags for such a large group, whether they mail them out for specific room assignments, or if they're just one grouping, and all your luggage will be delivered to a central area for you guys to claim. If you get tags, perhaps it'd be best to not hand them out until you gather together before heading for the airport. Then you minimize the chances of kids losing them, forgetting them at home, etc. Then make sure that all luggage has a yellow tag before it goes on the bus.
