Wow, absolutely amazing. This is a ticketed event right? You cant just like go to the MK in the morning and just like stick around when this show goes off kinda similar to what some folk may do during an emh?

$37 per adult. You get to see this, the new parade, and pretty much all of the rides are open...I say it is worth it!

I loved the beginning part with the Pirates score. That was simply great seeing the entire sky in red. The vocal parts (Hook, fairies, etc) to me should have been less as it seemed in those parts there was little choreography. With the ending, (at least based on the video) I think I still like Wishes better. But I think using Pirates' score (maybe in addition to Narnia's and a few other recent movies') would make a great fireworks show for DMGM.

So you know, there are some perimeter fireworks shot off during the finale, too--you just can't see them on this particular video. The dialogue sections are slow points in the fireworks, but I'll take them any day over the "transitions" in Wishes where there are no fireworks and there is no music. Remember...Dreams Come True is the same way. This show actually has a coherent story...Tinker Bell has a roll in the show! If you listen closely, the pirates are attacking, then King Triton tells them to stop before the pirate is like "you steppin', fool? You wanna take this outside?" Then they take it outside and there are a buncha explosions before Captain Hook comes up to take over the Magic Kingdom but Tinker Bell sprinkles pixie dust over the entire park and saves the day. Cue the finale! I like it. Plus, they don't feel the need to use the word "wish" 500 times in the script. I just find this show to be much better written than the previous shows.

I absolutely love the Pirates score...it feels like it was written to be used in fireworks! While I don't think we'll see new fireworks at MGM, how cool would it be to have a scene similar to DL's Peter Pan scene in Fantasmic! but with Pirates...one can dream, I guess. It would do a heck of a lot more for me than Pocahontas.

Regardless...great job, Disney. Something like this should have been a new show for the Year of a Million Dreams...it's actually something I might book a trip to see.

Very impressive fireworks display.

I would be even more impressed, however, if they showed it to all park guests and not just those who paid an extra $40 for the Pirate and Princess Party.

have you seen DL's Remember in person? It's amazing! I haven't seen Pirates and Princess in person - just this video - but it doesn't look close to Remember, imo.
yeah, Remember's content and creativity I think is a lot stronger.... but the spectacle is amazing at WDW..... both are awesome :sohappy:
