Magic Kingdom's 40th next year = any celebrations on the day of?

Just had a very random realization that my birthday coincides with magic kingdom's birthday (I'll be 25 the day it turns 40).... anyone know if they're likely to do something special to mark that day? I was planning on making a trip for that birthday as it was and I think it would be cool if there was some special event or something... :sohappy:

MK officially opened Oct. 1, 1971...

Don't know of any special celebrations yet but it would be cool to be down on your birthday during something like that! Hope it works out for you! :wave:

Well I decided its the perfect way to celebrate my 25th, so I'm going regardless.... but I really think it would be an amazing present to myself if I could attend some special event or even just special fireworks or something.... it's a special day for the park Disney should do something lol!!! Not to mention I'm traveling with someone who will be 27 the next day.... could be a very special trip!

Oh most certainly there will be something special going on that day.

Even if nothing 'officially' happens, you can bet money the place will be packed with thousands of Park enthusiests.
