Hey guys, does anyone know how much the personalized tiles outside of MK are? I have wanted to do one but every time we go we forget all about doing that. I heard these will be permanent. I also heard the pics you put up in Epcot for Leave a Legacy thing stay up for 20 years to make space for new ones.
Can anyone confirm this?

U know.. we were thinking about the same thing the past couple trips (are you guys our twins?).. we want to get one of those tiles, but I thought they stopped selling them? I see a whole bunch of "gaps" b/w areas that have 'em, i thought they were supposed to be a fully connected walkway.. and then there's tiles where there are no names on them.. we'd love to get one..

we're gonna do the leave a legacy thing next trip for sure.. it's pretty affordable :)

There is a solution, and it's free!!! Make a stencil out of your names and whatever else you want printed on the brick. Find a blank brink and just use a permanent marker to color in the stencil. I've never done this; I think I heard this here a few years ago. Prolly won't stay on long, but you could always re-draw it the next time.

ummm we'll probably go back in late May or something, depends on the schedule I guess... I know one thing for sure Christie needs to finish this semester of college before we can go.. she's stressin' right now :( we'll probably do another 3-4 night trip in late May... oh, and when you guys post.. who's doing most of the chitchatting, JC or mayid? :)

kontra, don't tempt me, I've thought about it

It's not so much that they sold out. It’s more towards the fact that it would cost too much to:

1. Build a drawbridge over the service entrance for the water pageant

2. For liability and security around the open areas and near the bridge.

3. And would not be astatically pleasing with the path under the water bridge.

This it what I’ve gathered

The Walk around the World Bricks are NOT SOLD OUT!!
I repeat...they are NOT SOLD OUT!!

How can you run out of Bricks?

They just stopped selling them temporarily beacause no one was buying the Leave a Legacy squares.

I talked to several cast members who told me that once the Leave a Legacy Stones are full they are going to resume selling the Walk Around the World Bricks again.

I have no idea when this will be though.:(

JC-> actually I am from Miami.. lived in Miami Springs till I was 15, then moved up here ... last name is Trilla if that rings a bell... (Cuban)

Mayi.. hola :) We'll be getting married late June of '03, so we'll probably be in Disney early July after our "exotic" honeymoon location.. figure one week out of the country and another week at our "home" ;)... not sure what the exact plans are though, still gotta plan the wedding :drevil:

Scooter.. that's good to know :) Hopefully you're right and we'll still have a chance to get them :sohappy: w00t

As far as I know the Bricks are not sold out, but were discontinued due to lack of interest. Do you know what most people call those bricks? The PT Barnum Memorial Walkway. (As in "A sucker is born every minute.") And the leave a legacy thing is a nice thing but I doubt it will be taken down in a 20 year time frame to make room for me considering they aren't selling the way Disney had hoped in the first place. Ever noticed all the empty space all over the monoliths?

Anyway, I'd like to have me and my girlfriend in Leave a Legacy, and my future family in Walk Around the World.
I really hope they bring it back.

But 35 bucks a year?? Seriously??? :veryconfu  :veryconfu
