Have you contacted anyone at Disney? They actually ahve a team of people who could help you make arrangements or set the stage for you.

If you want a lot of people to witness your proposal, but are worried about it being at night, what about doing it on Main Street before a parade starts? During that hour before when people are starting to crowd around the street for the parade, but there are still photopass photographers out, that way you'll have the castle, pictures of it, and a large crowd.

My first instinct would be at night during Wishes, but then after reading your explanation and reasoning for the morning, it seems you have presented an excellent case!

You know her better than we do, and it sounds like you have a great plan for the morning. I'd go with that. What a perfect way to start the day!

Good luck!!

I like the idea of first thing in the morning, you could do it right outside the entrance, just after the ticket booths. Now, remember you have to go through a bag search before getting to the ticket booth. If you do it right outside the entrace there is usually a photopass CM or two taking the photos. Don't for get to stop by and get your "just engaged" pins as you enter the park on the left side near the fire station they ususally have a cart with special occasion pins and they will set you up with ones. You could hit every photopass CM on the way in and get all the photos of you both all smiles!

Do it during the day but first send your wife off to the bathroom and grab a cast member to see if you can get help from a fairy god mother or mickey and Minnie ect...to make it more memorable. After all this you both can celebrate the day with dinner and fireworks and more memories. OR..Cali grill during the fireworks..oooo...thats good too. Definitely involve a castmember in magic kingdom and they may have better ideas....OOOOO...or fireworks cruise. I could go on and on...I wish we would have gotten engaged there but a vow renewal may be in our future.

I love this suggestion! Not just for this dilemna but for any dilemna.
Thanks, but I can't take credit for this wisdom! Not sure who to credit, but here it is better articulated:

If you are stuck between two options, just flip a coin in the air!

It works.

Not because it solves the problem . . . but because while the coin is in the air, You will get to know what your heart is really hoping for.

We need time for things to happen.
DON'T DO IT!!!

just kidding - back off ladies.....I'm a romantic guy..I did the whole waterfall, moonlit bridge, down on one knee proposal.....;)

As some posters have already mentioned: You really can't go wrong.
Anything after "I'm proposing to my fiance at WDW...." is pretty much icing, and only made better by the amount attention to personal detail (what she likes - crowds, no crowds, Fireworks, characters, shows, dining, etc. ) and the amount of money you want to throw at this (as someone mentioned -contacting WDW and having someone arrange some really cool stuff).

Either way congratulations...................You thought this through right???

KIDDING!! SHEEZE!!!!!!!!

I'm going to join in on the call Disney bandwagon. They can make sure everything goes extra special. You won't have to worry about the photo pass photographer or anything like that.
What ever u choose I think she will love but I personally would go with the morning proposal. The is less that can go wrong IMO. Congratulations though and I hope you write a trip report telling us all about it!

First off, if she is exhausted after one day at Disney, perhaps you should reconsider the proposal. Just kidding!

Personally, I prefer the nighttime proposal but maybe not in the Magic Kingdom. I had a friend that proposed during the fireworks on the beach at the Grand Floridian. Very private and romantic
