I would also like to know when, or if, the Share a dream come true parade will change as well as Spectomagic. Now that parade has been around a long time. I want to see tokyo disneylands dreamlights come to WDW. :-)

Also if anyone knows of any other parades/shows coming for the new celebration let me know.

Well, the new ad campaigne, Year of a Million Dreams starts in October, and the rumored new name of the parade is Dream Come True (minus "share a") so they might coincide the two.

I do know the snowglobes are coming off the floats (the CMs who have to ride in them are GLAD of that - they are not as airconditioned as you may think!) and some redecorating, but the floats will be essentially the same otherwise. Do that, change the order, get new music, and add a new dance routine and viola! A new parade!

As long as I get to see it next month, I'll be happy. THen they can change it. I really loved the Remember the Magic parade; I hope this one is as good. The SpectroMagic parade is cool! I remember when they brought the Main Street Electrical Parade from DL. It was a nice change. Someone please tell me if I am remembering this correctly. Wasn't the SpectroMagic parade at MK before MS Electrical Parade and then they ran it after the MSEP left? I know I could be wrong, but for some reason, I thought that is what they did.

I believe that before the Share A Dream Come True parade it was called the Magical Moments parade, a parade which I happened to participate in 12 years ago! I personally enjoy sitting at the end of Main Street USA and eating some Confectionary candy while drinking a Coke during the parade!

I KNOW that 6 years ago, it was the Remember the Magic parade. I have it on video. I think the Magical Moments parade was before Remember the Magic parade.

You have a video of Remember the Magic? I have actually been looking for a video of that or a video of Magical Moments. I loved that parade.
I wish i also had a really good video/audio of the entire main street electrical parade. Announcements and all. Very hard to find stuff like that.

I have BOTH on video. But, unfortunately, my 8mm camcorder doesn't have a USB hookup. We are buying a new camcorder for our trip to the world next month and maybe after that, I can get it on the computer instead of locked up on the tapes. They are not perfect videos, by any means, but I have them, music, announcements and all. You also get me yelling as some kid for pushing me out of the way and almost knocking me down. His parents were nowhere around.

It won't be that simple. If you remove the globes, the whole routine has to be changed for those characters.

Remember the Magic and Magical Moments were essentially the same parade...it started in 1996 as the Remember the Magic Parade for the WDW 25th Anniversary Celebration. When the Celebration ended, the name was changed to the Magical Moments Parade, but the parade was almost exactly the same...the "Remember the Magic" theme song remained, largely unchanged, except a few of the lyrics in the 'bridge' section, so to speak (which featured "Zip A Dee Doo Dah") were changed from "25 years of Disney magic!" to "Remember the Disney magic!"

And yes, this parade did indeed run from 1996 to 2000/maybe some point in 2001 before the 100 Years of Dreams Celebration that brought us the Share a Dream Come True Parade.

I have very fond memories of this parade...when it was still called "Remember the Magic," I got to be one of the Guests who got to participate in one of the parade stops...I danced with Tigger with the final float. My family got to be the Grand Marshalls for this one in 1999 (it was "Magical Moments" then), and my high school marching band got to go to WDW and march before this same parade in March of 2000. It's a special one in my mind. :)
