Magic Kingdom Opening Question

My DH and I like to catch the opening ceremony at the Magic Kingdom. The day we are going for our upcoming trip, the MK opens at 9a.m. but has extra magic hours from 8a.m. to 9a.m. Does anyone know in that case if the opening is at 8a.m., 9a.m., or both??

On EMH days they don't do the opening if I remember correctly. I am sure someone will be able to give more details but they have not done it the past few times I have gone for the morning EMH. Or they did like a smaller version???

The opening ceremony does takes place 15 mins before EMH. I think there is then a smaller version for the 9am open.
