Magic Kingdom Labor Day Weekend Photo Update 08/30/14

Hey all!

I'm a little late, I know, but Flickr has been acting up recently, anyway, I just came back from a busy, but incredibly lovely Labor Day weekend at the parks. I decided to take the liberty and upload some photos to share and update you guys with some of the magic going on at the Magic Kingdom.

It was generally warm, but rather pleasant in the shade. Humidity wasn't as bad as the previous weeks.

Fall is indeed upon us, as the first MNSSHP starts on Sept. 1st

First Stop: Fantasyland

The usual morning crowd makes their way to Fantasyland to catch an early ride aboard the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train or to meet Anna and Elsa over at Princess Fairytale Hall. We decided to go retro and hopped aboard a galleon on Peter Pan's Flight.

Now on our way to Frontierland!

Frontierland was generally empty. I was the perfect opportunity to take some shots and to meet Chip N Dale without melting under that hot Florida sun.

Me recreating the infamous "Splash Mountain Rap" dance... Thank god nobody was there to witness.

Now back to Fantasyland to enjoy some of our childhood favorites.

Love the energy and the idea of the parade, but I absolutely loathe the generic Disney Channel Pop music. Hopefully the new changes will be a more appropriate fit for the Magic Kingdom

Super pics! What camera and lens?

Actually I'm using a Nikon Coolpix L830. It's a point & shoot, but as you can see it delivers fantastic shots like an SLR. It's a great camera, but I'm thinking about upgrading to an SLR.

Now on to Tomorrowland to ride a favorite... The Peoplemover!

The new Launchpad colors look great in person. Hopefully the rest of Tomorrowland will adopt this fabulous retro-futuristic paint scheme. It just screams Tomorrowland 1967!

I was beyond excited about the return of Figaro Fries! They were always a favorite. My brother, however, decided to try the Putin. He's been craving t ever since we arrived home from Canada a little less than a month ago. I didn't try it, but he said it was yummy!

There's no better way to conclude a fabulous day at the Magic Kingdom than to zip down Splash Mountain at night

And... that's all folks! It seems that this wasn't just a "little update" lol, anyway, last Saturday was a great day to visit the Magic Kingdom! Sure it was hot. sure it was a wee bit crowded, but it was the perfect break from an extremely long first week of college. Those who attended college know what I mean.

Anyway, Happy September WDWMagic, and have a magical week!
