come in November they said... it's a slow time of year before the holidays they said... lol

I tell ya... I have been in some of the so-called "slow" seasons the past couple of years and they are certainly not slow - crowds seem to be increasing each year so what will Disney do

- raise prices
- expand existing parks
- build a 5th park (sorry I had to)
- buy SeaWorld and feed Shamu dole whips and churros

Just curious if Universal Studios Florida ever needs or responds to crowds by extending their hours?

Certainly IoA does, I have been there in the past when they have announced an extension. Pretty sure USF is exactly the same.

I guess it happens when crowds turn out to be a fair bit heavier than expected at time when crowds levels don't normally justify full opening hours.

It's a Federal Holiday today. This didn't occur to you?

Very busy today at magic kingdom and Hollywood studios.. Added second fantasmic. I attribute it to the holiday, funny Disney doesn't foresee. I expect the rest of week to slow down. At least last year it did

Can confirm, spent the day at Magic Kingdom and it was crowded but manageable. I will say, it appears a lot of people didn't get the memo about extended hours, because the crowds really died down after about 9 pm. Most everything was a walk on, and I spotted SDMT at a 40 minute wait around 11 pm.

Yeah, I always wondered about that, a good majority of the crowds are probably not aware when park hours get extended. However, it's great PR for those who do get the message and stick around.

Not to mention, the usual extension is an hour...Tuesday night was a 2 hour extension! So if you did stay till the end, I'm sure you pretty much had the park to yourselves (so to speak). Not many locals staying out till Midnight on a night before work Wed.

I usually plan to go during off peak times and have noticed this year in general has been busier than normal! Let's hope my holiday trip right after the parade isn't as busy as the rest of the year (yeah...i'm expecting it to be busy).
