Magic Kingdom entrance from the Contemporary

I was going through some old pictures I posted on Disney Pix and found this neat pictures. I am posting a link instead of the picture itself as it is a before & after picture that shows how the entrance has changed over the years.

Now that is really interesting. I can't believe how open it all used to be. They sure added a lot of trees.

I am not sure they added a lot of trees, they have just gotten much bigger over the years. You can see part of the reason why the changed out the trees in Town Square and the Hub in the Magic Kingdom.

It look pretty good now, but think it might also look good replacing the trees so you can see the entrance again while approaching on the Monorail.

Also remember there was no need then for a resort bus station - hence all the grass.
