We were at disney last year, but didn't go to the 24 hour event. We were asleep in our room and kept checking our phones for wait times. It wasn't terrible after like 11:30pm (like most rides 20-40 minutes if I remember correctly), but still not good enough for us to crawl out of bed!

We're pretty much all about rides, we planned this year to leave disney before memorial weekend. If we lived closer or had an annual pass I'd be more up to these special events.

Well this year's 24 hour event has the villians theme going on which proved a little too popular at Hollywood Studios.

Just relating our experience from last year. I would think the late night/early morning crowds wouldn't be terribly different. Last year was monsters university.

I checked out yesterday morning. We had one final breakfast in the CBR food court. The place was packed! We got out just in time.

It rained all day yesterday. Playing catch up.

That might be true too. Was in AK on Tuesday. It rained all day but was mostly rain showers off and on. (Fortunately no hard downpours), at least until after we left at 3pm. Good for us. Sparse crowds. Maybe people re-adjusted their schedules on Tuesday to do non-park stuff, then hit the parks in earnest on Wednesday.

Geez! Just a look at expected capacity versus actual yesterday, from Touring Plans:

At Magic Kingdom we predicted a crowd level of 4. The actual crowd level was a 9
At Epcot we predicted a crowd level of 2. The actual crowd level was a 7
At Disney's Hollywood Studios we predicted a crowd level of 2. The actual crowd level was a 5
At Disney's Animal Kingdom we predicted a crowd level of 5. The actual crowd level was a 9

I know that many say that Touring Plans is just a tool and should not be taken as gospel, but if they were THAT far off, it had to be bad!

60 minutes for the tree house? Isn't that more of a self-guided play area? Almost seems a little off to have a wait time for that, much less 60 minutes, unless it's an issue of dealing with safety issues for being over crowded.

I guess everyone saw how long the lines were for the rides and had the same idea simultaneously... "let's go kill time in the playground while we wait for lines to go down."
