I enjoy browsing antique stores, because you never know what kind of Disney goodies you'll find there. Yesterday, we went to a couple, looking for any good Disney stuff, and I found 4 collector plates from MK 25th Anniversary. One of them had the Castle decorated like a cake. One was in front of the train station. One was in front of the Haunted Mansion and one was on Main Street during a parade. I paid 6 bucks a piece for them...I don't know how much they were originally.
Does anyone here have those, and if so, are there any others I should be looking for, or is that it?
Also, the summer before my Mom died, she showed me an old book that her Dad used to read to her when she was little. It was a giant golden book from the 40s or 50s, called Uncle Remus Stories. It had all the SOTS guys on the front, and that's what originally got me looking in antique stores...hoping specifically to find that book, since Mom planned on keeping hers to read to our son when he would stay with her. All this time, I've been trying to find it and never have. Well, she died at the end of 2006 and a month or so ago, Dad said I could keep that book. So I have it now, and I just KNEW I would eventually find it after I got my hands on Mom's copy. Well, guess what we say at that store yesterday as well? Yep, a copy of that book. I guess that's how it always works. LOL I would have bought it anyway if it was only a few bucks, but it was 25 bucks, so no thanks.
