Magic Express Question

I have used the Magic Express Bus in the past. My question- I might be going down and staying at the swan the first night and then switching to the Beach club. Will I be able to take the express bus to the beach club from the airport on the first night?

No. DME will only deliver you to a Disney Resort that you are booked to arrive at the day you arrive. If you are staying at Swan on arrival, you are not eligible for DME service on arrival. You will be eligible to use DME when you're leaving from Beach Club.

And if you should happen to get a yellow DME luggage tag in connection with your Beach Club reservation, do *not* be tempted to use it thinking your bag will go to the Beach Club and you can just live out of your carry-on the first night. The luggage service doesn't work like that.

When your bag shows up at MCO a day early, it could very well get stuck in limbo and you may not see it for an extra day or two. So don't risk it. Throw any yellow tags for Beach Club away if you happen to get them.

Thank you. Any ideas on how to get to The Dolphin or Swan with a 17month old- I don't want to bring a car seat on the plane?

Thanks for the information. I was wondering if I should stay at the Swan or Dolphin but I like the convenience of DME. I will stick with the Yacht Club.

Last year we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside for our first two nights. We moved to the grand for 8 nights after that. We had DME service to PO, and then when it was time to move to the grand, they sent their service in, tagged our luggage, and took it to the Grand. We went on our way for the day, checked into the Grand, and our luggage was in our room by the time we came back from the parks. Does the DME go to the Swan? If it does, you should have no problems.

Swan/Dolphin don't participate in DME. There in lies the problem for the OP. If they started at a Disney owned/operated resort, then switched to Swolphin then back to a Disney owned/operated resort then its not a problem.

Swan and Dolphin are independant properties on Disney property not Disney owned or operated. They dont participate in Dining plan nor DME nor are guests eligible for EMH.
