I am so grouchy right now. :( The weather had been forecasting a "coating" of snow, then heavy rain here. Well, they hacked. We already have about 3 inches, and it hasn't switched to rain yet.

I'M SO SICK OF WINTER!!!

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE!!!

Ok, I'm done. Sorry. :o

I'm with you there, Sweets.

Meh, at best.
But we have turned the corner, I think.
How are you?
How is the new family member adjusting?
Hey there's alot to be said about turning the corner. :)

He's adjusting pretty well! The potty training is still a challenge, but that's to be expected. At least we're lucky in that he's sleep through the night in his crate w/out crying. We're debating about crate training him, I just can't imagine leaving him in there for 9 hours during the day...I feel much better w/ him shut in the bathroom, but they say the less room they have the quicker they learn.

Right now he & DF are napping

:o

DF hasn't bonded as quickly w/ him as me so this makes me happy.

How adorable is that?
I'm with you on his having the bathroom to himself all day. It should make paper training fairly easy. But then again, crate trained dogs seem to adjust very well, also.
That's a tough decision.

I know. They say not to crate them for more than 6-8 hours at a time. But it is the quickest way. And he won't "go" outside because he doesn't like the cold. So right now we're just using the training pads.

I've known a few crate trained dogs and it always amazes me how content with their circumstances they are. There's never any resistance to the crate at all. It's their comfort zone.
