No, we wanted to spend a day w/ him first so we definately will tonight. We keep going back and forth between a few.
We think his face looks like a husky and he's from the Cornhusker state so we're thinking of "Husker".
Either that or Cubbie, Fez (DF likes that one from 'That 70's Show'), or Lex.

Neither did we.:lol: In fact I went into the puppy place telling Adam that he was NOT coming our w/ a puppy...and then I did. :o
I like Husky.:sohappy:

Well congratulations anyway! I think you should let us name him though - we seem to be so good at thread names (of coursae his middle name would have to be snot then)

by the way thats the absolutely most adorable puppy...

i LOVE dogs... I need one... and of course, Allie does not feel the same, she's a cat person, and I'm heavily allergic to cats (which kills her)...

and she always say "no, we're never getting a dog... they smell bad..."

little does she know if I had to choose between living with her or living with my dog... well, let's just say I'd find another life partner...

Good Morning Susan, Steph, Jenny (I think I just missed you!), and Betty...

Betty how was your trip????? when did you get back? Hope you had a great time!
Hi Joe - we got back yesterday morning after driving straight through. I woke up this morning not sure of where I was! It was a great trip though, and we got a lot done.

Goodmorning!
Just in for a bit to say hello. Had the neighbor girl over this morning, whe didn't want to go to school complaining of stomache pain. She has been doing this every time she had to go to school, but is fine when she didn't "think" about her tummy troubles. I felt like an ogre making her go to school, but she wont tell me what is really going on that she doesn't want to go to school for.

Congratulations Joe!!!

Thanks!

I just realized though; I've spent $829 since I decided on doing the half marathon on things FOR the half marathon...

$100 registration
$9 commemorative pin
$150 on 6 pairs of dry-fit tech Nike shirts ($25 a pop)
$60 on 2 dry-fit Nike shorts ($30 a pop)
$70 on 2 dry-fit nike long sleeve shorts ($35 a pop)
$30 on dry-fit nike pants...
$10 on 2 running hats... ($5 a pop)
$400 on gym membership

incase you haven't noticed; i'm big on these nike dry-fit clothing... it's so comfortable though and absorbs all your sweat to keep you dry, it's awesome!

regardless.... i never realized how much I've spent... YIKES...

(Plus I'm gonna have to get another pair of running shoes eventually...)

But it's all worth it to get you into shape isn't it?

That's the one thing I've been fixed on...

If something happens or I'm just not ready... whatever...

if that happens, this is not all wasted; at least it motivated me to get in shape and just be healthier...

I've gone from eating burgers about twice a week, as well as at the LEAST once a week having fast food, pizza about 3 times a week, once a week at least having a steak sub, eating junk food, doritos, chips, all that junk, candy... and not exercising at all...

to eating only salads with grilled chicken for lunch, occasional turkey sandwich (but now i only eat wheat bread), a wheat bagel every morning for breakfast... snacking on fruit, giving up red meat, not eating any candy... only having occassional chips but healthier ones, and working out 5-6 days a week...

Plus, in the past 4 weeks since i first started, I've lost 8 pounds... and it was mostly in the last two weeks

so in the next month I wanna lose another 10 pounds and I certainly think that's entirely attainable...

the one problem... not an ounce of the 8 pounds i lost came from my gut... so I've slimed down everything but my stomach... I look like I'm carrying triplets...

in due time though...

Hi Jenn - sorry Joel's under the weather.

Thanks - it's been kind of a rough week for us. Abby had a fever Wed, but got over it quickly. Joel is taking so much longer. No fever anymore, but definitely lethargic and little appetite.
So, I hope to you do a trip report - I'm anxious to hear how things went. :)

8 pounds in 2 weeks is very impressive Joe - keep up the good work!
