Magic carpets of Aladdin refurb

It would fit perfectly in DHS. It is in dire need of a family ride to lower wait times on toy story. Now I don't think that a spinner would completly lower it from 100 minute waits and fast passes running out by lunchtime, but it will help a little bit
What they need is a highly themed REALLY high capacity omnimover ride based off I don't know OZ or something and all of a sudden TSMM is under 100 minute wait times

Actually I know your not being sarcastic. Your just being a troll. Based on your recent posts it is obvious. If they had good upkeep, the Yeti would be fixed, Peter Pan would be fixed, and the Laughing Place in Splash Mountain would be fixed.

I'm being a troll by applauding Disney for good upkeep at the parks? Interesting take.

Pointing out the fact that an attraction is being closed for refurb and applauding the company for doing so when they are accused of letting attractions "rot" does not constitute a troll. Why must people be so quick to scream troll? Are their arguments really that weak that they must sink to the level of ad homs?

It isn't just that. Look at his other posts. He is clearly a troll. He is saying props to the good upkeep or whatever when their are still many problems that are being ignored. Also with his other posts many other people are calling him troll. It isn't just me. Now I Sincerly apologize I he isn't one, but it seems like he is.

But this attraction is being worked on... good for them! Acknowledging that doesn't mean someone is a troll. Seen Main Street lately? Lots of work being completed with more yet to be done.

For several around here that continually throw out the troll label... they display more trollish behaviors than those they accuse.

The thing about magic carpets that makes me the most distraught is that Aladdin has so much freaking ride potential and it ended up on a carnival spinner. I wish Disney didn't botch the Kuka deal. I know they had an Incredibles ride planned, but an Aladdin dark ride with Kuka technology would have been even more amazing IMO.

Yeah it's great but I'm not basing it all on this one post in me saying that. And I'm not one who always calls people trolls. This is the first time I ever did.

They seriously need to just remove that thing and make a ride that gives Aladdin a better name.

Like Scuttle said, Aladdin has such great ride potential, but instead they just use a carnival spinner ride.

Moving it to DHS would be great. The kuka ride as said before would be cool.

I agree. Out of curiosity, is there space in Adventureland for something like this? If so, where could they put it?

Kinda like a certain Boy Who Lived ride but a little more Arabian.

They're refurbing it to instead be Orange Bird themed after the hoopla when he was added back to the sign. Instead of carpets you will now ride crates of oranges. At the exit will be a gift shop selling nothing but Orange Bird souveniers. :)

No seriously... short refurb, the area needs some paint and I'm guessing that's it. The carpet we rode in last had some chipped paint areas that I only remember because DS6 kept picking at them. LOL!

I am all for refurbs right now. But the ride placement, just clutters what was once an open land. There is nowhere to build more rides except to tear down Swiss Family and Jungle Cruise, neither of which I ever want to see done. Aladdin could go into the studios very nicely. And so would other movie and toon based attractions. I have video of that area before the spinner was put in, ahhhh memories.

Yes they have space, an expansion pad south of Pirates.
