Hi everyone! I will be staying onsite for the first time starting on the 28th of December and even though I received the email that said my magic bands were shipped about 10 days ago, they haven't arrived yet :( is this normal? What can I do?

I am having the exact same issue with mine....it's stuck on the same status as you. I was reading the other day the usps is behind a little due to the increased number of online gift orders for the holiday. Disney's website says to call them if your bands aren't there by 3 days before your trip.....you could definitely call sooner though. Worst case scenario is that you can just pick them up at the front desk when you arrive at your hotel

The thing is, I just read this at Disney.com and am very disappointed...this means there's a possibility that I'd have to pay for them even if I never received them? Come on!

I am sad because this is my first time onsite and it has taken a lot of sacrifice to save up for this trip and now this? I really hope I get them. Please let me know what happens with yours and I'll keep you posted as well.

@Beckett ~
Please stop fretting :). You still have almost two weeks to receive your bands. We have gotten ours less than a week before our resort arrival. As you know the postal service is crazy busy in December, so the issue is on their end not Disney's. If the worst case scenario happens and you leave home before your bands arrive, Disney won't charge you for new bands; you may have to settle for grey ones though, as these are the ones given out at check-in.

Thanks! You give me hope ;) it's just that I felt worried after reading that on the Disney website. I don't think they should charge for it.

That's the problem with USPS tracking. Tends to not show a whole heck of alot between them accepting the package and marking it as delivered. I've even had stuff delivered before USPS shows they have accepted the package, only to have the tracking info suddenly all appear like 2-3 days later.

Just follow the directions on their site, and you will definitely have bands waiting. They may not be the colors you wanted, but you will have something there. Unfortunately shipping from all carriers gets crazy this time of year.

They arrived today!!! :):inlove:

USPS needs to hand the keys over to private business.

Yesterday, an unmarked early 2000's white caravan showed up at my door around 8pm... it was a USPS contract courier...

WHAT A JOKE! lol, how do i know who they are supposed to be, it was pitch black!

They often deliver my mail to other zip codes, or just lose it completely. I cringe when buying online and they show a USPS tracking label. :confused:

If you are going to call out one carrier, call them all out. Our local UPS warehouse is crawling with white panel trucks from Budget right now (I'd be a bit more freaked out if a moving truck backed up to my house than someone who might be delivering take out for a neighbor) and a recent FedEx delivery lost my package for 3-4 days with delivery status "Undetermined" until it magically showed up at my door. They are doing better than last holiday season, but they all still grossly underestimated the demand. At least USPS delivers packages Sat/Sun, and won't charge $20 just to send a letter.

I can only call out the carrier that ruins my deliveries on a regular basis.

FedEx & UPS have been flawless to my home address.

As a matter of fact, just last month, I had a USPS pickup request for 1 package @ my mailbox. The driver decided to come up to my front door and additionally take 3 other packages that had been left by UPS & FedEx earlier in the day. USPS basically stole right off my front porch items not even labelled to them when they were never instructed to do so. The pickup request clearly stated, 1 priority mail package, 1 lb located in or at mailbox, not 200 feet up my driveway, at my front door, for more weight than mentioned or multiple boxes not even labeled to the carrier that took them.
