Magic Band worth it if not staying onsite? Any benefit?

I'm going in September for first time solo and heard about the magic bands. Not staying onsite, so wondered if there might be an advantage to having a magic band if you aren't staying on site. or just a wanna be souvenir?

fast passes and memory maker if you use it. I would prefer it vs. taking your wallet out or digging through your bag.

You don't really need it, fastpasses can be put on your ticket card. About the only other benefit in the parks is not having to get out your wallet to pay for items or scan the card for a fastpass.

As a side note, charging purchases with the Band is only available to on-site Guests. Just having a Band doesn't allow that.

They're not expensive, so if you want one get one even if offsite. It'll be the same as your ticket. Which you also use for FP. So it won't be useless to have one.
