Is it possible to have a priorly used Magic Band reassigned to a new user?

Background: I am taking a party of about 21 people. Most have bands already, but some do not. I have several. Can I ask the band number to be reassigned to a new user (in light of they are not free anymore).

From the Disney website:

Q. Can other people use my MagicBand or card?

A. No. Your MagicBand or card is unique to you and only you are authorized to access the benefits associated with it—including linked tickets, touch-to-pay purchases and other entitlements. Once a MagicBand or card is linked to your Disney account, it cannot be transferred to another person.

Once a magic band is attached to someone you can't just reassign it.
Its POSSIBLE if say you accidentally assigned it to the wrong person that if you call Disney they can change it but changing it for the sake of changing it so someone doesn't have to buy one of their own they will not help.
