Magic Band Question

Hi there,

I know there are a lot of unanswered questions of exactly how these magic bands are going to work and all the ins and outs. But I had a thought - panic really - and I thought maybe someone knew the answer to this.

My mom is joining my DH and I for one day at Epcot. She is not staying on property. She will buy her ticket at the BC concierge the day prior to her going into the park. My DH and I will have Magic Bands for sure b/c we are staying on property, dining plan, MYW park hopper tickets. We will have our fast pass plan as well.

My question to this is:

1) will my mom get a magic band or just have a hard ticket if she is getting a one day ticket to Epcot?

2) is the fast pass choosing a perk to disney resort guests or can anyone make them? And how will my mom make her fast pass choices to match ours if she is buying the ticket the day prior to us going?

Any insight, thoughts, how to's on how this might work is really helpful and appreciative! :)

Thanks!

If MM+ is fully rolled out then your mom could pay to upgrade to a band but I would just have her use the standard RFID card. You would have to see if you could somehow get your mom FPs for the same time but it would probably not be easy if possible at all. If your mom bought her ticket in advance you could link it to her My Disney Experience account and then link to you and your husband's trip and then you could make FP+ choices in advance for her as well.

Oh, that's good to know! She won't buy it as far in advance as we would make the fast pass choices but maybe I can try and get her to. Bc I think that would be the best option so she can be with us for the rides. Thanks!

I had one more question: My mom's single ticket can be added to our disney experience or do I make one for my mom and just book the fast pass times at the same time? Thanks!

That I don't know. Sorry. I know if your mom has her our Disney Experience account you can link them both together so one person can make FP+ reservations for the whole group.
