Magic Band/FP+ system ?

This morning I was just able to customize magic bands for our upcoming trip. I made FP+ times this past weekend. My question is: I know that during the testing phase that we are supposed to be able to utilize the FP+ system and still use the regular FP machines in the park, are the machines now synced up to use with your Magic Band? The last time we were there you still needed to scan your ticket to get the paper FP. Wondering if anyone else has used this and how it works? I wouldn't have even known about the FP+ or Magic Bands if it wasn't for this website. I have never rec'd an official email or an invite to participate in either program, just kept checking the Disney Experience website.

During test period selected resorts are getting both magicbands and KTTW cards as a back up so up will be able to use the FP machines as the bands and cards aren't linked together

This is incorrect, as your MagicBand is linked to your ticket media, whether it be a KTTW card or an AP. That being said, we were still able to use our APs in the FP machines to get paper FPs (in addition to our FP+ selections).

Has anyone heard if Disneys Wilderness Lodge will be included in one of the upcoming "tests" for Magic Bands? We are running the Wine and Dine in early November and were trying to figure out if it may be an option.

Also, those of you who were notified to take part in the tests due to your hotel selections, how far in advance were you notified?

I appreciate any rumors and help out there!

don't know what is going on, but i have not received any notification that we are in the test group when we go in Oct- we are staying at AoA- but five minutes ago while fiddling with my disney experience,
IT LET ME USE FASTPASS + !!!!! GOT IT DONE!
don't know what is up, but keep checking MDE

I was playing with the FastPass+ with my iPad on MDE and I noticed a tab that said MagicBands when I tapped on it, it told me what resort I was staying at and and how many MagicBands we had to personalize and thats when I realized we were receiving the MagicBands.

Staying at the Poly the first week of October - made our FP selections and customized magic bands. Noticed next to BOG there is a request FP selection. When I try, it won't let me add it to any of my MK days. Thinking we can add BOG lunch as a FP+ as we get closer?

Yes I have as well. I will tell you I did have my fingers crossed and was holding my breath. LOL and it gave our family a new Disney experience. We all sat down together and discussed joke and chose our fast together. Usually fastpass are decided at the moment with everyone running in different direction. One thing I did noticed is you did have to chose 3 and if you didn't it chose them for you and got a little confusing when you broke the party up.

Does anyone know at what point you set up the pin code for purchases on your Magic Band (I saw that's how it's done on YouTube)? I've done the online check-in so I was just wondering if they'd make you set up the pin code the first time you make a purchase in a shop/restaurant, or if I'd have to make a stop of the front desk to set it up after I do the quick online check-in.

I set mine up on the website.

They confirmed it when I checked in.

Hi guys!

I am hoping to book my holiday in November to WDW for June 2013 does anyone know if I will get offered Magic Bands or will they be open to everyone by then?
Is there a way you can sign up to get them?

Will a CM be able to retrieve your cellphone # if it is on your room information from the Magic Band? I was just wondering how much information will be on the children's Magic Bands. We will be traveling with 3 small children and were going to get some kind of bracelet to put on the children with our information.

CM's have *no* access to information by scanning the Band apart from the first name on the profile. (Which may only come up when you scan the Band at the FP+ checkin posts)
