Madden NFL 2006

I was myself (Superstar Mode) QB for the Dallas Cowboys playing against the Chargers. I threw like 9 TD's, held the opponent to negative yardage, ran the ball all over them, etc. It was insane.

It was funny, I always kick squib kicks, and usually got a penalty when they go out of bounds on Madden 2005. This year it has been treated as a punt. Of course, this in Superstar Mode.

No, I still get a penalty on the rare occastion that I get those. But for some reason, the ref seems to signal a False Start or something instead. Also, Madden and Michaels end up saying things that make no sense whatsoever sometimes. I held my opponent to less than 50 yards total offense in the first half, most of it rushing. When we came back for the second half, they were talking about how well the other team moved the ball through the air in the first half and see if they can keep it up. Kinda silly, really.

Well, I always kick squib because I can't seem to master the art of a normal kickoff on the XBOX. That is the only thing I miss about the computer. I can't even punt or kick a field goal. So I wind up going for it on 4th down and going for two after a touchdown. Good thing my teams have good offenses and defenses because my special team's skills suck! So, I'm happy about the glitch. :lol:

Madden and Michaels have always said out of place things, but that just shows the limitations of technology.

I lucked out being drafted by the Rams and having two great recievers. Unfortunately my guy got hurt towards the end of the season.

I decided to see what happened if I played Superstar mode with a WR this time. It turns out that so far I've gotten him +1/+4/+4 from having the training camp defense be Special Teams Punt Return and having the offense be a passing play. I'm playing for the Broncos so the passing play used was Shotgun-Open Trey-Hooks or something along those lines. Almost a Hail Mary, but every pass was completed and I finished with an average of 48 points. It was great to see.

Just rented it and played my brother, it is so awesome.

I'm going to wait to buy it for the 360, man I cant wait for that system to come out.

So here's what I tried...

I Gamefly'ed NCAA 06 (Gamefly is incredible isn't it?) and so I simmed through the first two years of it (race for the heisman), and I played a couple of games on the easiest level ONLY because I was doing it to get my guy into Madden, so I was just messin around as if this guy would be the greatest player of all time. So I play the first three games of my junior year and my guy had thrown for like 36 TDs, 3000 yds passing... 0 INTs, then I decided I was gonna buckle down and just play ONE FULL GAME... hahahahaha FIFTEEN MINUTE QUARTERS ON THE EASIEST LEVEL.

(Oh and I'm on USC... got a full scholarship there so I have a great team too)

Anyways, I won something like 200 something to nothing (i obviously called off the dogs in the second half, plus it was getting boring if I just threw a hail mary EVERYTIME)

So, my guy throw for 31 TDs... with 2700 yds in this one game... so now my total after 4 games is 67 TDs and almost 6000 yds!!! hahahaha

Well, in the final 7 or 8 games, he threw for another 21 tds and another 1500 yds... finishing the year with 88 TDs and over 7000 yds!!!!

I DIDN'T WIN THE HEISMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!?!! I THEN PROCEEDED TO GET PICKED 8TH IN THE SECOND ROUND OF THE DRAFT!!!!


Has anyone had better luck with me with the NCAA 06 to Madden 06 transfer? Anyone gone number 1, or even in the first round?

I played through the first two seasons for NCAA06, played for Michigan, won the National Championship(Freshman), Rose Bowl twice(Freshman and Sophomore), Heisman(Freshman), Maxwell twice(Freshman and Sophomore), Orange Bowl(Junior) and a few other awards besides. Entered the NFL Draft and went second round, sixth pick to the Raiders. I can't wait until the rookie contract is over and I can get away from them. I really don't like the Raiders and now I have to try to help them win.

Oh, and I had the records for most points in a game, most TDs in a season, most career TD passes, and helped my WR win the Heisman in his Senior year.

unfortunately i preferred the ESPN title to Madden. I bought both last year for Ps2 and i barely touched Madden.

but there's no other option now lol.

this was extremely weird last night! So I simmed again through the rest of my junior year... great season, my WR won heisman, i was runner-up, so i played my senior year... played the first two games, had like 26 TDs (play 5 minute qts this time) and like 1800 yards... so anyways, i sim through the rest... and it comes time for the heisman presentation and it goes to....

QB #15 from Georgia... and I was furious, hahahaha, like legitimately mad... so then after the presentation... they congratulate me and give me the heisman...? What the heck??? And then they show the voting, and I came in first with QB #15 from GA in Second, but behind me but like... 800 votes, i dominated it... I thought that was extremely weird though!

I think got drafted second in round 2... but im gonna re-do it and hope to get 100% IQ, because i've heard the ONLY way to be drafted first round is if you were a 99 overall in NCAA and then get 100% IQ.... so i've heard..

I just checked a walkthrough at one of the game websites saying that the highest any player will be drafted is Round 2, Pick 1. I'm not sure if that's accurate, though.

i WANTED to go to the raiders, or at least a well known team.. but guess which wonderful team i got drafted by?

I also STRONGLY believed that, but, I use ign.com all the time (its like my wdwmagic.com of video games... even tho VG aren't nearly as much of a hobby to me as disney, but sports titles i die for)

anyways, on their boards, I read that you cannot go in the first round, but then a bunch of people came back and said you can and then like two of the members had confirmed they did it through that way. Now I could just come on here and say I went in Round 1 pick 1... doesn't mean I did, so I don't know how reliable those people are.

But anyways, with my guy last night (just an update since i've been constantly updating you and I'm sure you don't care :lol: ) so I did the whole draft thing, IQ of 60% and I went 2nd in 2nd round to browns... i dont like the browns, so I re-did it, IQ of 40% and I went like... 13th in the second round, one more try... IQ of 80% and where do i go????????? TO THE REDSKINS.... (i like the redskins but hold on... just wait...) IN THE 4TH ROUND WITH LIKE THE 14TH PICK!

FOURTH ROUND?!?!! I was livid, so I led them to a 4-0 start (on all-pro might I add) with some possible Pro-Bowl numbers... their offensive line is attrocious though... but I LOVE clinton Portis, I run screens all over my opponents with him... PLUS... the best part.... since Bruschi (im a pats fan) is hurt they put him in the FA... and THE REDSKINS PICKED HIM UP... now talk about exciting!

anyways, i'll keep ya updating if I do anything further with my guy exciting...

It's funny, I demanded a trade from the Raiders since I can't stand them. I ended up getting traded to the Redskins. :lol: And Bruschi got picked up by them in my game as well. I'm a little happier playing for them than I was the Raiders.
