Madden NFL 2006 comes out tomorrow, August 9, 2005 for the current-generation consoles. Will you be getting it or will you be waiting till the XBOX 360 comes out to get the next-generation version? Will you get both, or neither?

I'm torn. I really want the new one, but think I should wait till the next-generation version comes out for XBOX 360.

You didn't put up an option for not purchasing it.

I'll be waiting for XBOX 360, but I may rent it a few times for this gen.

I ordered the PC version, so it will arrive at my house soon enough. I wasn't going to get it at first, but I saw the new features and they seemed pretty cool and that they would only enhance the gameplay, so I went with it afterall.

I'll probably end up at Best Buy tomorrow after work to get it. I have a gift card to use up. I'm most excited about Superstar Mode. My favorite part of Madden (other than gameplay) is Franchise Mode because it gives you the ability to make a team your own. I'm sure it will be fun to control a player from pre-birth to NFL Superstar!

I figured that I probably won't be getting 360 for a while anyway. I'm buying myself lasik surgery instead.

It's such a great game that I can't wait for 360. ANyone going to get it tonite?

I have to wake up at 7 a.m. for work... and the closest store to me is 30 minutes away, and I still left my house around 11:00 last night, already paid it off so I pretty much just waited around for like half hour then got it...

I honestly haven't played it though, I got home close to 1 and... if I started playing it, I knew I wouldn't put it down until like 5 a.m. and then sleep for 2 hours and so... I somehow held off even opening it

oh yeah, and today is my girlfriend and I's 4 year anniversary so I don't know how I am going to be able to play it when I get home today.....

I still have to wait a week since the PC version comes out on the 17th.
That doesn't make any sense! Why not release them on the same day? I got the PC version of 2004. Then I bought an XBOX at the end of 2004. Playing on XBOX is so much better than a computer keyboard!

I got the game and it is good and surprisingly for me, it wasn't hard to get used to the new pass system. I think it was easy to get used to and really makes it so more realistic. Superstar Mode is good but I felt it was a little repetative at times with the cell phone messages. Overall a good game and much better than 05. My favorite part however was the demo included on the game for Burnout Revenge which was absoultely amazing.

Well, my first regular season game in Superstar Mode had a 152-0 outcome. I have never scored that high before.

Who were you playing as and who was your opponent?

I decided to cancel my PC version order and get the PS2 version. The reason being that I wanted the option of making a College player with NCAAFootball06 and using him in Superstar mode to get a higher draft pick. As it was, my Superstar was drafted in the 4th round by "Da Bears." Not great, but not bad for my first try.

Yeah I went to the Browns in the third round and that kinda ed me off, I have NCAA 06 at my house right now, but I never really did much with it... (rented it)

Anyways, I don't wanna play through it and then make my guy awesome and have him go earlier, but... I do wanna import someone from that game which means... well usually when I sim through games i get screwed over and lose like every game, throw like 8 INTs a game...

but anyways, I also my first game won big, I didn't know in the Superstar mode how to change the game options so... my first game was kinda dumb

OH... and I strongly dislike the passing system, yes more realistic but I am just so used to the other way... I just think it makes too complicated... I turned it off (i toggle with it from time to time though because it is fun, just a little difficult at times)

I didn't even try Franchise mode yet, can anyone tell me how that compares to last year's, is it basically the same?

I Gamefly-ed Madden for the Xbox (should come today or tomorrow) but I doubt I'll purchase it.

Especially with all the reviews stating that there isn't much more to offer this year than last ('cept maybe passing cone). I have last years Madden and 2K5, but I'll play this years Madden anyway.

But I will be purchasing Madden Next-Gen for the 360.:sohappy:

I was myself (Superstar Mode) QB for the Dallas Cowboys playing against the Chargers. I threw like 9 TD's, held the opponent to negative yardage, ran the ball all over them, etc. It was insane.

It was funny, I always kick squib kicks, and usually got a penalty when they go out of bounds on Madden 2005. This year it has been treated as a punt. Of course, this in Superstar Mode.
