Question, what is the story of Madame Renata and the Haunted Mansion.
The reason I am asking is we had the best encounter with her and literally that is all my 13 year old son talks about from our trip.
We were at MNSSHP and waiting for the parade in front of Diamond horseshoe. My sister who was dressed a ghost bride that night wasn't with us at the time. Renata comes out of the Diamond Horseshoe as a ghost and my son thinking it was my sister (and at first glance it kind of did look like her) said "Aunt Debbie?" Renata says to him "I'm not your Aunt Debbie, child" in a southern drawl. Well we were all laughing, and he starts up this silly conversation with her. We were all laughing and she was telling him "You better not tell your Aunt Debbie because I'm dead, why this is the dress I was buried in. She spent a couple more minutes entertaining him, before she left. She did mention she was Renata, but we all forgot what she said, I had thought at the time she was one of the dancers in the parade, and then I thought it was Madame Leota, and it was only after searching the internet did I figure out who she was..
My son talks and talks about this encounter, and he goes around saying "I'm not your Aunt Debbie, child". Who would have thought such a silly encounter made a magical moment for a thirteen year old boy!
