Mad at Disney?

Hi DKrause, I certainly understand your frustration. When I read through the list of refurbs going on I too worried that it would impact my trip. My mom and I are going on a girls only trip at the end of February. This is my mom's first trip in 20 years so I am very excited to share the Disney magic with her. The castle was the big one for me but in the end I realize there is nothing that I can do except have fun. Hopefully since this is the first trip for some of your family members they will be so overwhelmed with the Disney magic that they won't realize that a small amount of that magic is diminished with the refurbs.

Have fun.

I agree with everyone. The only thing I disagree with is the fact that it is ok to refurbish everything is being done because it is the "off season". Please keep in mind that I am still paying $4000 to go to Disney this year and I work two jobs just so I can take my family there. I am still going to have a great time and I am not mad about it, I am just wonder way all at once.

Again, I know things need to get spruced up but I have never seen this much construction, tarps, scaffolding, ect.. at once. It just looks really run down. It kind of looks like this park we went to a like ten years ago in Cleveland, it used to be a Sea World and Six Flags; something lake. Closed rides, stalls, just dirty. All together this is over $10,000 my family and I are paying for this trip. I just really think it could be finished faster or they could do a little at a time. If they can get the Christmas stuff up overnight, why cant they do this quickly?

While of course refurbs are necessary, I do agree with the idea that they should do less projects at once, with the idea of having more people working on the refurb since they're not being split into groups working on different stuff. Then it could be completed sooner, and they could move on to the next one.
