Thank you, that's what I thought but I was just double checking. I sometimes feel like a dork calling Disney that's why I rather do stuff online...

It would be nice if you could do that, but I think it would just result in people abusing the system. People would be booking PS they don't need. Unless they were to use a credit card deposit I don't know how it would work.

However I believe only a few select restaurants I thought required a credit card deposit. One for sure is Cinderella's Royal Table. I just made reservations for Crystal Palace and didn't need a credit card deposit.

Only the Cinderella's Princess Breakfast requires a credit card deposit. I've made PS reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table for both lunch and dinner (as recently as May 2004) and have never been required to provide a credit card deposit.

This is correct. I just made a ps last week for dinner and did not need a C.card.

It seems like I may have caused a little confusion that I didn't mean to cause. I wasn't saying you need a credit card to make PS (except for a few that were mentioned). I was saying that if they started an online system they would need to do something like that to keep people from making PS that they don't need.

Sorry if I confused anyone with what I said.

Ohh! got it now. I totally agree if they started doing this on line I think people may be more willing to make PS and then not follow through so a cc would be a good way to eliminate unwanted ps.

Why do you feel wierd calling Disney? Come on now, we are happy, fun people...
Fine, if you don't want to call, at least stop by my window, and we can find a good priority seating arrangement to suit you and your other guests needs.

Just remember, all Disney World resteraunts are non-smoking, and your priority seating does not guarentee a seat at that time, it does however put you at the top of the list for the next available table to suit your needs. Be sure to show up for your PS at least 5 minutes in advance (but more is always better) and also keep in mind the travel times you may experience between our various resorts and parks. Thank you very much Tenny, and have a magical dining experience to accompany your magical day

(/spiel)

Sorry, I hear priority seating and I immediately go into "help mode" Forgive me this once

I love calling Disney. Being put on hold is a treat, great music, and where else do they say "Have a Magical Day" at the end of the conversation? If they just had an 800 number so calling from work wouldn't be such a hassle. Oh well, that's what free long distance on the cell phone is for I guess. You know what I miss, Communicore West in Epcot where you could make a PS by talking to a Futuristically dressed CM on TV.

Calling Disney and setting up hotel reservations or Priority Seatings is the best part for me! I get giddy with anticipation as soon as I start to dial the phone. :)

Does anyone remember the video phones they had in Epcot to make PS's? I think it was 1996 or 1997. I don't remember if they had them in the other parks, but I remember picking up the phone and the TV coming on with a CM. I wish they had those again.
